Responsibilities What You'll Do: The Care and Safety Specialist helps in creating a welcoming, safe, and recovery-oriented environment for individuals, staff, and visitors. Drawing from lived experience in recovery, the Specialist offers empathy, encouragement, and hope as part of a collaborative care team. * Greet individuals, visitors, and staff warmly upon arrival and offer assistance, information, or direction as needed. * Provide a consistent, friendly presence to support a positive and respectful environment. * Assist individuals with check-in procedures, visitor processes, and general inquiries. * Monitor public and common areas to identify and communicate any facility or safety concerns to the appropriate team members. * Maintain awareness of the flow of individuals entering and exiting the facility and communicate observations that may support overall safety and operations. * Respond calmly and appropriately during incidents or disruptions by notifying and supporting the appropriate staff. * Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to support individuals who may be experiencing stress or distress. * Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to support a smooth and organized environment throughout the facility. * Maintain a tidy and welcoming front-desk area, ensuring materials, signage, and supplies are up to date. * Ensure adherence to facility policies regarding visitor access, contraband, and security screenings. * Perform light facility-support tasks as needed, such as assisting with visitor badges, coordinating deliveries, or helping direct foot traffic. * Attend trainings, maintain required certifications, and participate in safety/security drills. * Safely and effectively perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques, ensuring the safety and dignity of individuals and staff. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of providing a safe, recovery-oriented environment. Qualifications What You'll Bring: * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Experience in customer service, hospitality, human services, or similar roles preferred * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor * Ability to remain calm, patient, and clear-headed in fast-paced or stressful situations * Comfortable engaging with individuals who may be in emotional distress * Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods as needed * Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered practices * Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques in alignment with facility policies and training standards * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or emergency situations * The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy.
