We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety Specialist to enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures. The ideal candidate will conduct field safety inspections and assist with digital documentation using platforms like HammerTech. This role involves monitoring contractor activities during equipment installation, piping, welding, and electrical work, as well as assisting with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions. Additionally, the Site Safety Specialist will provide safety orientation and training for site personnel, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities + Arrive approximately 30 minutes before the first shift to review precast plans and sign off on high-risk activity permits. + Ensure crews are set up and ready to start safely and efficiently. + Actively walk the site to review pre-task plans and provide real-time safety guidance. + Ensure all permits are properly closed out before the end of the shift. + Serve as the last safety representative to leave the site, confirming all safety documentation and activities are complete. Essential Skills + OSHA 30 certification is required. + 4+ years of site safety or field safety experience. + Strong understanding of construction safety practices and digital safety platforms. + Experience with HammerTech or similar safety management tools. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Prefer years of experience in food and beverage facility construction or industrial construction. + Knowledge of process equipment installation and MEP. + Experience with pharmaceutical or sterilization facilities or Class H chemicals is a plus. + Certifications above OSHA 30, such as NCCER or ACSP, are preferred. + Ability to manage both administrative and field safety tasks. Work Environment This role will be 100% on site with working hours typically 6 days a week, ranging from 8 to 10-hour days. The position is open to traveling candidates.
