Job Responsibilities
Safety & Standards
? Conduct regular safety and quality audits, providing actionable feedback to ensure high service standards.
? Plan, organize, and deliver training programs that promote safe practices and working conditions across diverse environments.
? Lead and participate in incident investigations, communicate findings, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
? Evaluate current processes, perform gap analyses, and recommend improvements.
? Execute all required safety activities, including daily/weekly/monthly briefs, observations, FSQA checks, and training sessions.

Vendor Partnerships
? Communicate vendor-related concerns and special occurrences to the General Manager daily.
? Proactively resolve vendor issues to minimize client involvement and disruptions.
? Monitor Vendor Partners during designated meal periods, conducting and documenting at least 15 inspections weekly.
? Assign monthly vendor schedules and communicate assignments clearly.
? Manage vendor badging processes and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
? Track vendor performance, including customer counts, safety concerns, and special occurrences; submit weekly logs to the General Manager.
? Coordinate and follow up on all vendor service and project requests.
? Ensure vendors adhere to service models, menu development standards, and safety protocols.
? Collaborate with clients and vendors on site project planning.
? Plans and executes quarterly Vendor Partner Meetings.
? Conducts business reviews with each Vendor Partner twice per year, documenting conversations and expected outcomes.
Qualifications
? 2 - 4 years of professional experience in safety; experience with management systems or a Certified Safety Professional designation preferred.
? Minimum of 2 years in a management role.
? Strong knowledge of safety best practices, including HACCP, OSHA 10 General Industry, and ServSafe certification.
? Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
? Strong collaboration skills to ensure a unified food service experience across departments.
? Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent shipyard experience).
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive safety experience in maritime or shipyard industrial environments.
Demonstrated experience managing safety programs for federal ship repair and maintenance contracts (NAVSEA, MARMC, MARAD, MSC, or similar).
Knowledge of: NAVSEA Standard Items (e.g., 009-07, 009-12, 009-24, 009-32), OSHA 29 CFR 1915 Shipyard Employment standards, NFPA, ANSI, and EPA environmental health standards, Confined space entry, hot work, rigging, and crane operations safety, Environmental spill response and hazardous waste handling
OSHA 30-Hour Maritime or Construction certification required (OSHA 500/501 preferred).
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred.
First Aid/CPR certification required; HAZWOPER (29 CFR 1910.120) certification preferred.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Ability to travel to all sites

**Summary**
The **Field Safety Representative II** promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safety every night. Is expected to spend 100% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. May supervise lower level Field Safety Representatives and Coordinators. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Embeds self with the project team and strategically "dives in" using a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).
