Maintain risk management's workers' compensation and liability claims databases.
Maintain, compile, and submit regulatory OSHA compliance reporting in a timely manner.
Maintain and update ISN as needed
Be on-site for OSHA investigations and insurance adjuster inspections.
Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Risk Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes:
Knowledge of risk management, including administration of safety and loss control preferably in the public sector.
Proven track record in safety and loss control. A proven track record in the public sector is an important asset.
Ability to plan, organize and implement safety and loss control programs in a diverse work environment.

General Description

Conduct JSA/JHAs, PPE certifications and pre-task safety reviews.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Extensive travel required weekly to all remote terminals (4-5 days per week)
• Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time
• May be occasionally required to exert up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc;

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) a strong plus.
Ability to interpret governmental safety and environmental regulations (i.e., OSHA, EPA), and provide practical application of applicable regulations to facility personnel.

Review each subcontractor's safety program and ensure that it meets or exceeds the project safety program requirements
Ensure that each subcontractor designates a safety representative that is properly trained in subcontractor's scope of work and has the proper authority to correct safety issues
Conduct regular daily and weekly jobsite inspections and complete the safety checklist noting safety violations and corrective actions
Record, notify and prepare written report of any violations or unsafe practices to subcontractors for immediate correction actions
Stop at once any violation or unsafe acts or practices
Assist the Project Superintendent in establishing and implementing proper fire prevention, evacuation, and fire control procedures
Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports in a timely matter
Establish and maintain all required safety records
Conduct a monthly overview safety meeting and attend project staff meetings to brief on safety issues
Perform other duties as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
Electrical and/or Lift Safety Experience Preferred
General knowledge of construction principles and practices required
5-10 years of safety experience or combination of education or multiple years of experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety principles and techniques

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager is responsible for driving compliance with OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM), EPA's Risk Management Program (RMP), and other Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations. * Gather and interpret data needed to provide on time delivery of annual EH&S state and federal reporting.
* Provide timely new product/process safety reviews via the Workflow System and actively participate in Management of Change efforts.
* Create strong and effective Hazardous Waste Operations/Spill Response Team. Serve as site's Incident Commander.
* Facilitate an EHS Committee(s) that will aid in a strong and sustainable safety culture.

Responsibilities
Monitor safety efforts of subcontractors and Brinkmann employees
Discuss safety with the on-site Subcontractors Supervisory Personnel
Coordinate with Project Supervision so that necessary personal protective equipment and safety materials are utilized
Record and forward copies of all safety related meetings, programs, safety pre-plans, inspections, correspondence, directives, citations, etc. to the Safety Director for tracking
Coordinate responses and compliance with requirements of inspection reports from Brinkmann's insurance company

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

Ability to work with all construction groups: management, owners, trades and subcontractors

Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise level ranging from moderate to loud.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Works directly with the Project Manager and the management team to develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan, while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.
Assists Project Managers and EHS Managers/Specialists in the coordination of subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel working on company project(s). Coordinates project EHS programs with subcontractors. Assists in planning and coordinating work to eliminate hazards, minimize risks, and aggressively manage losses involving injuries or property damages.
Coordinates quarterly comprehensive on-site EHS audits. Periodically inspects and evaluates the project site, equipment and processes for compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations, as well as company and owner policies and procedures.
Conducts accident investigations and completes incident reporting for Project Management review.
Accompanies injured employees to treatment and medical evaluation. Ensures all EHS protocols are followed.
Advises Project Management on Industrial Hygiene protocols; performs Environmental Monitoring.
Manages Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, ensuring proper testing for Pre-Employment, Vehicle Authorization, Reasonable Suspicion, Post-Accident, Random, and Follow-Up.
Provides training and education to Company personnel regarding EHS requirements, including coordination of new hire EHS orientation programs.
Administers the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
Completes and provides a weekly EHS update to EHS Leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification
Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field
