(BSC) is currently seeking an experienced Safety Manager & Trainer to support our ongoing growth as a leading Site Development contractor in the southeast. The Safety Manager & Trainer will provide management, leadership, direction and support to our project teams across multiple sites in providing an exceptional safety culture and workplace where no one gets hurt. Job Summary The School of Science and Technology (SST) Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) officer will be responsible for developing a fully compliant environmental protection, health, and safety program focused on laboratory operation in the SST and the School of Nursing. Working closely with the Director of EHS for the college, the successful candidate will be responsible for health and safety relating to OSHA and Hazardous Communication (Right to Know), Laboratory Standard (Chemical Hygiene Plan), laboratory inspections, safety equipment, protective equipment, and staffing training. The Employee Health and Safety Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Safety department as well as champion occupational safety in the facility Duties/Responsibilities: Safety Champion for facility Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and results of the EH&S function Coordinates Behavior Based Safety program for facility, including analysis of data collected from observations.
