An immediate need for an experienced Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager specializing in commercial construction in the Atlanta, GA area. The candidate will be credentialed (e.g. - BS, MS, OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.).
The EHS professional will work directly for the Construction Manager and have direct reports. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Oversee the Environmental, Health and Safety compliance for the project

Participate in the Daily Hazard Analysis process

Energy Marshall will typically plan, lead, and direct the Electrical/Energy Policies and Procedures to site or client supervision.
The safety portion of the role you will be visible in the field, performing safety audits, coaching employees, etc.
All electrical energizations or LOTO work completed on projects must be done under the review of the Energy Marshal, or qualified Deputy Energy Marshals in alignment with the attached requirements.
Safety Manager Portion of the Role:
Have some fulltime construction safety manager experience.
Have the OSHA 30 construction.
OSHA 510 preferred but not required.
Energy Marshal Qualifications and Duties:
1. Complete NFPA 70E training on Electrical Safety Related Work practices.
2. Assign and train competent Deputy Energy Marshals (DEM) as needed to monitor concurrent work.
DEMs are able to represent the EM when the EM is not available and can perform duties in this
section, but the EM remains solely responsible for all DEMs and the overall Energy Marshal
requirements.
3. Confirm all individuals working on energized or locked out equipment are Qualified Workers based
on NFPA 70E, OSHA, or an equivalent qualified electrical safety training standard. The GC shall
keep records documenting Qualified Worker training.
4. Organize and schedule pre-energization meetings 5 days in advance of energizing or deenergizing
major pieces of equipment (or immediately prior to energizing or de-energizing equipment in the
event of an unplanned need). All critical steps and safety concerns shall be identified and used to
generate the daily work plans.
5. Provide final approval prior to ALL energizations in the Construction Zones. The EM or DEM
must fully review all pre-energization steps prior to approving energization.
6. Serve as single point of contact for Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program and LOTO activities. No
LOTO work shall be performed without review by an EM or DEM.
7. Confirm existence of and review LOTO plans for all electrical work in the construction space. The
EM shall ensure approved LOTO plan requirements are incorporated into daily work plans.
8. Review single line drawings and ensure all workers involved in LOTO activities are educated on the
involved systems.
9. Ensure completion of all owner and equipment manufacturer pre-energization and L3 inspections.
10. Verify all Foreign Objects and Debris (FOD) inspections are completed prior to beginning any
energization process and are in compliance with Client requirements. All re- entry into previously
energized equipment shall be approved and managed by the EM or DEM, who shall ensure
appropriate FOD re-inspections and re-tamper tagging are completed prior to re- energization.
11. Ensure tamper tags are installed and adhered correctly from pre-energization through the PFHO
milestone. Any tags that fail shall be replaced immediately.
12. Restrict access to electrical equipment during energization and commissioning activities through
proper safety barriers determined and accepted by GC.
13. Verify removal of temporary protective grounding/earthing equipment.
14. Verify correct position of switches, circuit breakers, and transfer switches for control circuits,
instrument transformer circuits, and power circuits.
15. Verify test switches and terminal block disconnects/switches are in the correct position in
accordance with the energization plan.
16. For all electrical related MCM work in the Operational Zone that relates to GC work (busduct
extension, MV breaker racking and closing, etc.), the EM or DEM shall oversee all the work and be
the sole person to provide approval to the AWS Operations team to energize and deenergize
circuits.

Plans and directs safety and industrial hygiene services and monitors third-party administration of the Workers Compensation program.
Ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place and followed during release of or exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants.
Leads or monitors safety committee meetings, and related activities.
Acts as the EHS Pillar owner and is responsible for workstream pace and completion.
Manages annual Trident Internal Safety audits, Tabletop and Drill activities.
Provides support during OSHA, EPA, PSM, and other regulatory audits.
Defines and prioritizes site programs to meet the needs of regulatory compliance, risk analysis recommendations, corporate policies and site-specific procedures and audit findings. Assists plant staff in prioritization of action items to address gaps.

Investigates fatalities, serious injuries, and near misses that occur at company facilities while leading A3 for any recordables; reviews accident statistics and makes recommendations for correction using root cause correction action processes.
May be responsible for managing a team of EHS staff. Setting priorities, completing performance reviews, providing guidance, direction, coaching and feedback.

Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, or other relevant technical fields (or equivalent combination of education and additional experience)
A minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibilities in EHS and/or environmental & safety programs in manufacturing, production, or a related industry
HAZWOPER certification is required or ability to obtain within 6 months
Ability to establish and evaluate strategic goals and metrics for measuring success.
Strong collaboration, analytical, influential, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interfacing with site management and leading group meetings.
Must be results-oriented with the ability to drive continuous improvement within the Safety and Occupational Health department as well as the overall organization
Strong working knowledge technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
Strong knowledge of Federal and State L&I and OHSA regulations, safety practices.
Working knowledge of all applicable local, regional, and federal requirements.
