POSITION OVERVIEW: The EHS Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures, along with conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Evaluates hazards within the facility for safety, health, and environmental risks. · Develop health and safety procedures and programs for all departments and monitors safety compliance to reduce risks. · Maintains contingency plans, including fire prevention, and procedures for controlling hazardous spills in accordance with government regulation and insurance company requirements. · Supervises maintenance of material safety data sheets so they are accessible at all times according to regulations. · Develop inspection policies and establish regular inspection schedules to comply with safety and environmental laws. · Supervises/Develops training sessions for emergency preparedness, confined spaces, electrical safety, machine guarding, fall protection, and forklift safety. · Maintains EPA records of hazardous waste, air emission permitting, and water pollution discharge, as well as industrial health monitoring and records of employee hazard exposure according to OSHA regulations. · Monitors professional literature and attends seminars to stay current with governmental compliance requirements. · Supervises Workers Compensation Analyst and seasonal first aid attendants, and Security. · Responsible for Government report for BLS, OSHA and Title V. · Represent employer on regulatory inspections. · Manage safety and security budgets. Reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager, the Rail Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for driving safety and health management throughout the rail organization through development and reinforcement of “best practice” operating procedures. This position will support Drummac, as directed by the Safety and Compliance Manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in administering Drummac's training and development programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory safety requirements. Works closely with Safety, Compliance and Operations management to develop pertinent on-the-job or other “value-added” training appropriate to the needs of each business unit they support. Works in collaboration with Human Resources and Safety training departments to implement New Hire Orientation. Conduct and document routine safety inspections and audits to identify hazards in our proprietary quality assurance platform. Coordinate with TMM team members to clear an spills or hazards. Spend majority of time in high traffic areas based on high frequency of claims history. Responsible to map out all GL/WC incidents on a monthly basis and analyze/report all historical trends. Act as liaison between TMM Housekeeping and other departments such as tenant kiosks, food court tenants, Customer Management. Constantly communicate between departments with common goal of reducing accidents and injuries to the public and employees. Utilize caution towels & pop-up caution signs to designate hazards and to help prevent customers from slipping or tripping by cleaning and deploying signage. Verify that team members consistently follow safety protocols and are using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Attend Safety Committee meetings and help coordinate & promote general safety on property.
