    The Second-in-Command (SIC) shall assist the PIC in the management of the flight and flying the aircraft in accordance with the directions of the PIC. The SIC may carry out take-offs and landings under the authority of the PIC and shall take over control in the event of PIC incapacitation. The SIC will participate in the Safety Management System, as detailed in section 2 of the Flight Operations Manual. Reporting Relationship: The position will report to the Director of Aviation. The duties of the Second-in-Command position include: Perform as a current and proficient pilot on the company aircraft in schedule rotation with the other members of the department. Providing safe, comfortable and efficient aviation transportation while being consistent with Arlo Consulting's strategic intent. Must be available for changing schedule detail with at least one day notification for departures. Aircraft/hangar cleaning, stock and planning as necessary. Other duties as necessary. The duties of the Director of Safety position include: Oversee management of the Safety Management System. Work with the other pilots to modify the SMS as necessary.
