The Director, Global Safety will be based in Herndon, VA and will lead the company's global Safety program across data center construction and operations. The role defines the global safety strategy, develops and maintains policies and standards, and ensures compliance with regulatory and ISO 45001 requirements while driving continuous improvement through data, incident learning and strong stakeholder engagement.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain global Safety policies, procedures and standards across construction, commissioning and operations.
Provide oversight and support to regional safety programs, ensuring consistent execution and alignment with global standards.
Conduct HSE audits and inspections across data center projects and operational sites to evaluate performance, ensure compliance and drive corrective actions to closure.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action programs; ensure learnings are shared and adopted across regions.
Develop and deliver global safety training and onboarding programs; monitor completion and effectiveness for employees, contractors and vendors.
Maintain safety reporting systems, logs and documentation, including regulatory filings (OSHA or international equivalents) and ISO 45001 documentation.
Monitor leading and lagging indicators, analyze safety performance trends and prepare safety reporting for regional and global leadership.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Construction and Procurement to embed safety requirements into project planning, design reviews and site execution.
Oversee contractor and vendor safety management, including onboarding, verification of certifications, work plans and field compliance checks.
Support emergency response planning, incident notifications and business continuity activities related to safety.
Promote HSE culture and initiatives through leadership visibility, communication and engagement across global sites.
Travel 25-50%, including international travel to provide on-site presence at project or operational locations when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
10+ years of experience leading HSE programs across construction and/or operational environments; mission-critical or data center experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success implementing safety programs across multiple sites or regions, including contractor/vendor oversight.
Hands-on experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments and HSE audits, and driving corrective actions to closure.
Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH or NEBOSH preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead or transform safety programs across multiple sites or geographies.
Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment while maintaining attention to detail.

The Role:
This position works with the Superintendent and Project Manager to administer, direct, and implement compliance with the Corporate Safety and Health policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of Company standard operating procedures and goals for Safety and Health Plan. This position is responsible for the overall safety procedures on a project specific level or as assigned to multiple project sites within a region or sector.

Position Overview
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager with 5+ years of construction safety experience to oversee safety operations on a major data center construction project in Aldie, Virginia. This role is ideal for a seasoned safety professional with strong leadership capabilities, proven field management experience, and the ability to coordinate safety compliance across multiple contractors in a fast-paced environment. The EHS Manager will work closely with the Construction Manager and SAVI EHS leadership to drive safety performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold a proactive, high-standard safety culture. Key Responsibilities
Lead daily safety management activities, including site inspections, compliance monitoring, and oversight of high-risk operations.

Facilitate daily hazard analysis (DHA/JHA) meetings and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.

Collaborate with project leadership to strengthen and sustain a “Zero-Incident” safety culture through coaching and accountability.

Provide oversight for crane operations, critical lifts, confined space entries, energized work, and other high-risk scopes.
Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and develop proactive improvement strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of construction safety experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities; data center or industrial project experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard analysis methods, and advanced risk mitigation techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital safety reporting tools.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of field personnel.
Certifications: OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 or higher-level credentials preferred (OSHA 500, CHST, CSM, etc.).

Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree level education in Engineering, Construction, EH&S, or related field with minimum 5 years' direct experience in EHS management positions supporting large scale construction projects. Ideally working for client, GC, or EPCM company. And or related certifications: CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, STSC, OSHA 1926 500.
Demonstrated proficiency with Procore, Deltek, Highwire, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam.
Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with people at all levels within the organization, client and project partners.
This position will work primarily on a construction site with some time in an office.
This position may be required to work at Arcadis contracted sites with varying changes in settings to include temperature, indoor and/or outdoor settings.
Noise levels will be high at times depending upon work location. Should be prepared to work in all levels of noise and wear protective hearing equipment as needed.
Must wear required PPE as required by Arcadis or its contractors.
As a part of this environment, there may be the need to wear cleanroom coveralls and follow client hygiene protocols.

* An average of at least twenty-four (24) hours of formal safety training each year for the past five years (typical training acceptable: Competent Person Excavation & Trenching, First Aid & CPR, Fall Protection Training, Electrical Hazards, Hazard Communication, Driver Training, Confined Space Hazards, Hazardous Material Training, etc.). Current 40 Hour Construction Hazard Awareness Course (EM385-1-1) and working knowledge of OSHA and EM385-1-1 and other state and federal agency safety requirements.

About the Role
Responsible for leading all facets of Environmental Health and Safety including policy creation, implementation of programs, interpretation, reporting of information, employee training, workers' compensation administration, OSHA compliance and safety of all workers and other responsibilities as needed. Manages and coordinates Safety Programs and provides leadership and execution of such programs. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a culture of health and safety excellence across our North American facilities.
What You'll Do
Provide leadership and direction in the development and implementation of EHS programs across multiple manufacturing plants. Collaborate with plant managers and EHS team members to ensure consistent application of safety standards and practices.
Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; determine the need for additional programs.
Recommend preventive measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards.
Manage and maintain ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
Manage and maintain plant environmental requirements.
Develop and implement additional programs as needed or dictated by plant and corporate management - to be in compliance with local, state and federal EHS requirements.
Coordinate and manage the Safety Committees at each plant and make periodic safety and housekeeping inspections throughout all facilities.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in safety procedures, risk mitigation, and emergency response planning. Implement best practices to enhance the overall safety performance of each manufacturing plant.
Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility and/or corporate Operations Management - Acting as the Group EHS contact with government EHS agencies and insurers.
Lead and/or participate in the investigation of employee concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations/Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up.
Ensure that OSHA and CCOHS requirements are met.
Prepare monthly safety committee meeting agenda and coordinate monthly meetings.
Design/Deliver safety trainings at all plants including fork truck training and Hazardous Material Communication
Track all safety training and licenses to ensure compliance with expiration dates.
Maintain and keep current training documentation.
Design and maintain New Hire Safety Orientation program including providing the required training for newly hired teammates.
Manage site Property Loss Prevention activities.
Handle all Workers' Compensation matters including ensuring accident reporting procedures are followed at all facilities.
Maintain OSHA 300 Log, complete annual reports, and post.
Oversee safety self-audits and inspections.
Encourage and create a high level of safety awareness.
Work with employees at all levels of the organization.
Expect to travel up to 50%-60% of the time for job related duties.
Perform any other responsibilities and assignments as needed.
Additional Expectations
Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Environmental Health and Safety or related subject area
Minimum of ten years of experience in EHS. A minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role.
Previous EHS experience in a manufacturing facility.
EHS certificates such as CSP, ASP, CHMM or similar helpful.
Previous experience developing an EHS Program, including accident investigation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, life safety, machine guarding, air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, property conservation, and workers'
Computer Skills:
Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.
Other Skills and Requirements:
Must maintain current certifications for CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Excellent collaborator - demonstrates the ability to include multiple parties to perform to accomplish one objective.
Strong platform skills for training workshops
Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Regularly travel to manufacturing plants within the division to provide hands-on support, conduct site assessments, and engage with on-site EHS teams.
Previous experience interacting with leadership and employees at all levels of the organization.
