Responsibilities:
Ensure all EHS recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings of the Joint EHS Committee.
Participate in ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.
Facilitate the resolution and timely response to EHS action plans.
Administer Workers' Compensation program. Follow all WC cases with appropriate tracking and recordkeeping.
Maintain written programs and procedures in accordance with ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, and corporate EHS and ergonomics requirements.
Serve as the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Representative.
Administer and coordinate all environmental related items and permits as required to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Generate compliance reports as required. Update documents to remain current with the latest requirements and legislation.
Coordinate inspections with corporate, federal, state, and local agencies when necessary.
Provide input in the development stages of current as well as pending processes entering into the facility.
Train employees on all necessary EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct new hire orientation for EHS. Ensure training is documented.
Coordinate all hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, and disposal.
Provide statistics for continual improvement in the workplace in regards to EHS.
Ensure external and internal complaints related to EHS are recorded appropriately and reported to management.
Coordinate emergency response procedures, training, and practice drills.
Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and job hazard analysis for continual improvement and to reduce workplace incidents and injuries.
Coordinate post incident drug and alcohol screens as necessary.
Participate in and conduct environmental compliance and conformance audits.
Ensure the proper selection of EHS supplies including PPE
.
Document all activities as required.
Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
Limits of Authority
Advise Department Manager of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety or customer satisfaction results.
Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems.
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or system.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through the appropriate channels and verify implementation.
Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.

Qualifications:
A degree in safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene or related degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. EHS Coordinator for Canadian operations must complete WSIB/IAPA Part I & Part II Certification Training as a Designated Employee.
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation.
Experience in working with ISO 14001.
Knowledge of industrial ergonomics.
Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of OSHA (and/or state) standards. CSA standards for Canadian operations.
Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Must have proficient computer knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Essential Functions
Provide strategic leadership and direction for company-wide safety and risk management programs

About the Role:
PAR Electrical Contractors is seeking a seasoned Regional Safety Manager (Civil & Foundation Division) to lead safety efforts across multiple project sites within a defined region. This person will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety excellence. Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored for electrical construction, including transmission & distribution, overhead & underground work, substations, and related high-voltage environments.

Lead incident and near-miss investigations: root cause analysis, corrective/preventive measures, documentation, and follow-up.
Train, coach, and mentor safety personnel, project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field staff on safety best practices, regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, etc.), and company safety expectations.
Track safety performance metrics (leading and lagging indicators), analyze trends, prepare reports, and share insights with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Oversee subcontractor safety: review their safety plans, ensure they align with PAR's requirements, conduct pre-mobilization safety reviews, manage contractor compliance.
Ensure regulatory compliance at all levels (federal, state, and local), maintain necessary permits and records, ensure safety documentation is up to date.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer to support a historical rehabilitation project within Hot Springs National Park. As the SSHO, you will be responsible for managing, communicating, implementing, and enforcing compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1, Tepa's Accident Prevention Plan and other accepted safety and health submittals.
Job Functions:
* Performs tasks specific to contract task orders on-site at all times during the performance of all work.
* Makes binding decisions on Tepa's behalf.
* Implements project safety processes as stipulated by the approved Health and Safety Plan, Accident Prevention Plan, and Activity Hazard Analyses.
* Conducts daily, weekly and/or monthly safety briefings, as required.
* Conducts daily and monthly site safety audits.
* Fills out or obtains daily work permits such as but not limited to confined space, hot work, safe work or dig permits
* Works with Project Manager to obtain safety certifications for subcontractor employees on various tasks such as but not limited to fall protection, confined space entry/attendant, trenching, equipment operations, asbestos and lead abatement.
* Documents competent persons on site for each scope of work.
* Makes decisions to amend activity hazard analysis to reflect any field changes on project sites.
* Implements reporting procedures in the event of an incident or accident.
* Investigates and evaluates incidents/accidents to determine procedural changes necessary to preclude recurrence.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
* 5+ years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction (managing safety programs or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls)
* OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within the last 5 years
* OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety & Health training
* Formal construction or industry safety and health training covering the subjects in USACE EM 385-1-1
* Intermediate proficiency in ProCore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Word and Excel

Basic Qualifications

The Physical Side of the Role: This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You'll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.
Your Work Environment: You'll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels. Your safety is our top priority, and you'll be expected to follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations.
