At least 5 years experience in sustainability, carbon accounting and reporting, and energy management
Experience with environmental sustainability programs to include greenhouse gas reduction, water use reduction and solid waste diversion programs
Ability to communicate, manage and achieve site tactical and strategic goals for assigned value stream.
Must have at least a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance
Must be able to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with managing the environmental, health, and safety aspects of a manufacturing site, preferably aerospace

Salary Range: $154,600.00 - $231,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. What You Will Do:
This position's primary responsibility is to ensure all project activities adhere to the contract specifications while maintaining compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards set forth by Curtin Maritime. The SSHO will always follow safe work practices and be responsible for helping everyone learn and maintain the Curtin Standard.
Implement and execute accepted project-specific plans, including accident prevention plans, environmental protection plans, site-specific safety plans, injury, and illness prevention plans, etc.:
Apply the 3 pillars of Curtin Maritime (Efficiency, Integrity, and Innovation) to everything we do
Formulate, create, and maintain site/contract safety plans specific to projects and/or contracts when necessary or required.
Efficiently management of project safety and environmental submittals
Ensure proper employee, company, and subcontractor certifications are obtained and maintained
Manage safety and health programs on-site to ensure compliance with established policies, state/federal laws and OSHA regulations and act as the primary project contact for all health and safety and/or regulatory agency requests and inquiries
Determine, communicate, and document deficiencies and ensure they are corrected in a timely manner.
Act as On-Site Company Safety Representative:
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements
Communicate, educate, and train employees in safety awareness and specific safety requirements according to OSHA and other applicable standards
Conduct required meetings with all interested parties
Conduct safety and health inspections and maintain associated documentation
Recommend and implement control measures to reduce any liability or exposure from non-compliance with various agencies, codes, and company procedures regarding environmental, health and safety standards in the workplace
Participate in Incident Response and Reporting Systems and support incident investigation processes
Manage employee and customer situations: respond promptly to employee/customer needs, solicit feedback to improve service, respond to requests for service and assistance, and meet commitments promptly
Complete administrative tasks assigned by Project Manager, as requested
Who You Are:
The SSHO plays an integral role in providing logistical support to a dredging project. This role works directly with the marine construction leadership team on site to efficiently manage and guide the implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards and plans on project sites. The SSHO is expected to be a motivated individual who can prioritize tasks independently and execute them in a timely manner. This is an essential role in fast paced environment that requires thinking quickly and effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
