    Job Description National Fleet Safety Manager Full-Time; Exempt The National Fleet Safety Manager provides a critical leadership role in company facilities with transportation personnel and assets by promoting a safe, open communication environment which fosters behaviors leading to safe, efficient daily operations and excellent customer service. Interfaces: This role will report to the National Fleet Systems, Safety and Compliance Manager and have responsibility for driving a culture of safety and responsibility across all PCR facilities with transportation personnel and assets. Responsibilities: Selection, Development and Talent Position Management: Responsibilities: Supporting Regional Transportation Mgrs. and Frontline Managers in developing safe work practices both on and off highway. (FMCSA/DOT) Conducting routine driver audits and review analysis Provide feedback for ALL safety identified behaviors to regional and frontline managers Driver Staffing: Work with Human Resources to develop recruiting tools for both drivers and mechanics. Collaborate with other Ergon Transportation groups on best practices and new technologies to improve safety and security of the fleet. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. 3-5 years' experience in fleet safety management. Demonstrated ability to lead a safety function at a national level. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Solid computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office applications. Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail. Have or be willing to obtain a Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS) or Certified Director of Safety (CDS) with North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI) or its equivalent.
