This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external assessors to generate, review, and validate functional safety work products in accordance with ISO 26262 and ISO 19014 standards. The engineer will provide technical and project leadership to drive safety culture, ensure process adherence, and deliver compliant safety documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Provide project and technical leadership to ensure compliance with functional safety standards and processes for EV and AD systems. Lead and participate in system safety analyses, including HARA, FSC, TSC, FSR/TSR, DFMEA, SFMEA, FMEDA, FTA, STPA, DFA, and reliability analyses. Review, validate, and approve supplier functional safety deliverables, including ASIL targets, decomposition strategies, and safety concepts. Generate, compile, and maintain functional safety documentation and confirmation measures as per ISO 26262 and ISO 19014 requirements. Perform audits, confirmation reviews, and technical assessments of system modules; identify gaps and recommend implementation and validation solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive safety analysis and ensure alignment with applicable standards and organizational processes. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, strengthening system understanding, safety processes, and safety culture. Proven experience conducting ISO audits, technical assessments of safety deliverables, and tools and component qualification. In-depth knowledge of system safety projects and/or safety-critical software development from concept through validation.
