Job Duties: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related activities, incidents, and inspections. * Assist in the preparation and distribution of safety manuals, guidelines, and training materials. * Coordinate safety training sessions and orientations for new hires. * Assist in the development of training materials and presentations. * Track employee participation in safety training programs. * Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas. * Collaborate with Operations to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. * Assist in the preparation for internal and external safety audits. * Act as a point of contact for reporting safety incidents, near misses, and hazards. * Assist in the investigation of incidents, gathering relevant information for reporting and analysis. * Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans. * Coordinate drills and exercises to ensure team members are familiar with emergency procedures. * Communicate safety policies, procedures, and updates to team members. * Assist in promoting a culture of safety through regular communication and awareness campaigns. * Compile and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement. * Generate reports for management regarding safety performance and compliance. * Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and ensure the organization's compliance. * Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports. Work Environment: * Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures. * Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards. * Work in a noisy environment * The Safety Representative will work in both an office and work site setting but may also be required to visit various work sites for inspections and training sessions. Physical Requirements: * Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds occasionally. * Carrying/Lifting > 40 Pounds occasionally. * Standing / Walking / Climbing. * Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending. * Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder. * Experience in process improvement/coordination * Work independently, with little supervision Experience & Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in safety-related fields is a plus. * One plus years experience in a safety-related role or similar administrative role is preferred. * Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient in using basic office software and comfortable learning new systems. * Bilingual capabilities required.
