As a direct report to the Plant Director, the EHS Manager provides site leadership in Environmental Compliance, Health and Safety of employees.

Regularly inspect and monitor the facility to ensure that the plant is fully operating in compliance with KDP compliance regulations and HSA regulations.
Ensure compliance with all HSE and Food Safety & Quality legal and regulatory requirements and associated policies, standards, procedures and forms of the Company within the operations environment.
LeadershipLead execution and improvement of all EHS systems, programs, policies and procedures.
Lead execution of a strong CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) or other legally mandated program in the area that drives site improvement in Environmental Health and Safety.
Lead the root cause analysis of accidents and incidents and collaborate with peers to develop strategies to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents.
Proactive use of EHS data to drive culture and continuous improvement.
Ability to establish and manage departments operating budget, including but not limited to Headcount, Compensation, Material & Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Professional Fees.
Lead site incident management (with support from Corporate QEHS) with regard to food safety, environmental compliance and safety.
Examples include FDA Recall, HSA, OSHA, EPA, or other legal notifications from the area.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Owns the site EHS TPM pillar.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) years school bus transportation or traffic safety enforcement experience, to include supervision, law enforcement or as an instructor/trainer.
Must currently possess a Class A or Class B CDL with (P) Passenger and (S) School Bus endorsements without an air brake restriction for the previous 39 months without a lapse or suspension or have the ability to obtain (P) Passenger and (S) School Bus endorsements within 90 days of hire.
Must meet qualifications to become Arizona State Dept. of Transportation Certified School Bus Classroom Instructor & CDL Examiner:
Minimum of Three (3) years of School Bus Driving Experience
AND
Minimum of Three (3) years School Bus experience in:
a) Issuing Driver's licenses

c) Instructing professional driving

Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, overseeing safety training and education programs, conducting risk assessments, and leading investigations into safety incidents. Additionally, the Safety Specialist will collaborate with the leadership team to improve safety protocols, coordinate emergency response drills, and ensure all safety documentation is up-to-date and readily available for audits and inspections.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure the mining operation adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations, particularly MSHA standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Training and Education:
Develop, plan, coordinate, and deliver MSHA training courses, including new miner training, annual refresher courses, and task training.
Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure all employees are adequately trained in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Maintain comprehensive training records for all personnel, ensuring documentation meets MSHA requirements and is readily available for inspection.
Monitor training expiration dates and ensure timely re-certifications for all employees.
Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into any health and safety incidents or near-misses, determining root causes and recommending preventive measures.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents and communicate findings to management and relevant authorities.
Safety Program Development:
Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to the specific risks associated with the project.
Promote a culture of safety through ongoing communication, education, and reinforcement of safe work practices.
Collaborate with department leadership to identify and address emerging health and safety issues.
Emergency Response Coordination:
Coordinate emergency response plans and drills, ensuring all employees are familiar with procedures.
Continuous Improvement:

Compliance Audits:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education :

Demonstrated experience in MSHA compliance, including safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Certifications:
