UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Safety Compliance Specialist to join our family. As a Team Partner in the Safety Training Department, you will be facilitating various CPR/First Aid & OSHA Safety classes to our client's locations. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you'll be doing:
Provide various Safety Training classes to customers including, but not limited to; CPR/First Aid, Forklift Safety, Fire Extinguisher Safety.
Drive company provided vehicle to and from customer locations daily.
Contact customers by phone and email to schedule training.
Contact customers and prospects by phone and email to sell Safety Training services and products.
Clean and maintain all equipment including van and training equipment.
Complete required reporting.
Use iPad or other electronic devices to bill customers and complete training details.
Meet with the training center manager to discuss goals, objectives, and outcomes.
Work with internal resources to increase Safety Training base.
Complete ongoing continuing education to increase Safety Training offerings and knowledge.
Order supplies as needed.
Provide ongoing support of customers to maintain OSHA compliance.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
High school and/or GED equivalent is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record is required.
Minimum of 2 years as a Safety Instructor providing CPR/First Aid, Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, Fire Safety and other common OSHA classes is highly preferred.
Current AHA certification to be an instructor in CPR/AED/First Aid and BLS. Credentialing as required by state law for course to be taught or administered is preferred.
Experienced in sales and upselling additional safety-related products and services is preferred.
Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment.
Ability to travel within the designated territory.
Excellent communication skills for internal and external scheduling.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at certain times.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

Job Purpose
The Manager of HSE will ensure compliance within Canoo's OKC Manufacturing facility and across the company for Health, Safety and Environmental topics. This individual will collaborate with various departments to assess risks, provide training, and implement proactive measures to enhance the overall health and safety culture within the organization.

Coordinate and collaborate with senior leaders to create and inspire a safety culture based on HSE safety system focused on continuous improvement across the organization.

Basic Purpose
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the administration of an agency's safety program or providing consultative services to the public or private sector in planning, developing, and implementing occupational health and safety programs. This includes preparing and delivering public group presentations pertaining to health and safety practices; and providing guidance, assistance and training to other safety personnel in the performance of assigned tasks.
Typical Functions
Evaluates and maintains occupational health and safety programs for the prevention of industrial, motor vehicle and/or workplace accidents within an agency or business.
Prepares and revises safety rules for the operation of equipment, for classes of work such as construction and maintenance, and other work areas where safety hazards exist.
Inspects facilities and work in progress to determine where hazards exist; makes on-site corrections of flagrant safety violations and hazardous conditions; stops work in progress in extremely dangerous situations; determines action to be taken; and prepares reports of findings and action taken.
Reviews publications, surveys and programs of other organizations; examines and evaluates new safety devices and equipment; attends local, regional or national safety conferences and recommends changes in agency safety programs to lower accident frequency or severity; recommends acquisition of new equipment or modification of existing equipment which will eliminate or minimize occupational hazards.
Provides technical training in the operation of sophisticated detection equipment and in the identification of actual and potential hazards and dangers; and serves as a specialized training instructor in areas such as defensive driving and first aid.
Provides advice and guidance to site and agency managers regarding inspection procedures and statutory regulations; provides pertinent OSHA materials to employers; makes related referrals and recommendations as indicated.
Investigates workplace fatalities, other accidents and complaints made against employers.
Operates state-of-the-art equipment and measuring devices, such as receptacle tension testers, voltage detectors, ground fault circuit interrupter testers, electrical continuity testers, air velocity meters, pressure gauges and other equipment and machinery needed to detect safety hazards.
Conducts safety analyses with the use of pre-calibrated equipment; collects data by recognized sampling techniques; prepares and sends filter samples for laboratory analysis; reviews laboratory results.
Performs a variety of risk management functions including evaluations and recommendations pertaining to automobile operations, liability exposure, property and casualty.

Education and Experience
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, forestry or a closely related field and two years of qualifying experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in industrial relations, safety, safety inspection, safety education, transportation management, engineering, human resources or risk management for each year of the required education.

The Position
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager supports the administration and execution of organization environmental, health and safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment by performing the following duties personally, through site leadership or the retaining of service providers.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure air, water, and waste reporting for Title V and LQG facility.
Responsible for waste stream management to include coordinating waste disposal and recycling shipments.
Manage the required paperwork, manifests, waste labeling, DOT compliance requirements.
Ensure that all waste is stored in compliance with RCRA and other relevant regulations.
Conduct environmental inspections; ensure that waste containers are properly labeled and storage requirement in strictly adhered to.

Supports the administration and execution of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
