Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Safety Manager for our Kalispell Plywood and Lumber facilities. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and supports the entire Kalispell Complex. We are seeking an individual who is committed to safety, has a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work for our Kalispell Complex. The qualified candidate would have comprehensive knowledge to ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state and local standards. This individual will be involved in a broad range of safety management and leadership initiatives including developing, implementing, evaluating, and preserving safety accountability, policies, systems and culture.
As a Safety Manager you will have the opportunity to:
* Provide technical expertise on safety and health related matters and assist the plant manager, plant superintendents and front-line leadership to successfully manage their safety processes while ensuring compliance with Weyerhaeuser, OSHA, federal, state and local standards
* Work directly with the management team to ensure safety and health programs are implemented in their entirety, including written programs; required and documented training; hazard anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control; and performing periodic audits ensuring ongoing compliance
* Improve existing and develop new safety and health policies, programs, and procedures. Ensure plant safety policies are up-to-date and fully implemented
* Oversee capital improvement projects, from conceptual design through installation and start-up, ensuring employee safety and OSHA compliance is integrated into the project
* Mentor the "Safety Committee" and its functions into a workable and functioning part of the safety culture to add value. Encourage employee involvement in safety and promote a caring safety culture.
* Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local standards pertaining to workplace safety, health and environment. This will include oversite of industrial hygiene measurements, monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and training. A strong focus on OSHA compliance and inspection readiness is a must
* Develop and implement programs and record keeping systems to track and evaluate personnel injury and illness experience
* Conduct accident/incident investigations to determine root cause, prevent reoccurrences and establish employee accountability
* Conduct ergonomics evaluations of high risk and repetitive jobs
* Identify safety priorities and develop systems to reduce injuries, using the Health and Safety Exchange
* Ensure the annual safety plan remains the priority and sustainable
* Lead the site in response to safety issues and build active, cooperative relationships with the leadership team and Safety Committee
* Provide safety related project management support using processes like MOC & OSHA standards
* Interpret applicability of OSHA standards as they apply to the facility
* Coordinate safety on-boarding for new employees
* Monitor and support required annual safety training for associates
* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline is required
* Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) strongly preferred
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health or closely related field required
* Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Provides expert technical knowledge and support to aviation safety inspectors, the general public, stakeholders, and airmen regarding a wide variety of aviation-related topics. This includes assuring Cause Analysis is thorough, credible, and developed action plans follow evidence-based hierarchy of actions and include measures of success. Assists operational leaders (i.e., service line director) in understanding and completing Apparent Cause Analysis (ACA) following standard work process. Assists operational leaders in developing an implementation timeframe. Provides periodic auditing of the implementation phase of the system improvement plan.

* RISK MANAGEMENT
* Cooperates and collaborates regularly with Risk Management for both risk prevention measures and clinical event investigation for the hospital, ambulatory clinics, Surgery Center, and fully owned facilities.
* Provides support to Risk Management for resolution of serious customer complaints and issues related to the quality of patient care and/or services and imminent safety/risk situations including mandatory reporting to FDA for serious patient/employee injury or death resulting from a medical device. Adherence to state and federal disclosure of health information obligation and restrictions is critical. Maintains all peer investigation case files and ensures maximum protection from discoverability.
* Reviews, classifies, codes, and investigates occurrence reports. Presents synopsis of selected cases to PSIRG and Safety Event Classification (SEC) Work Group. Recommends plan for taking corrective action.
* Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Minimum Qualifications
Education
* BSN or Associates in Nursing with Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Organizational Development, Information Management, or other applicable related field
Experience

Certifications and Licenses

ERM is hiring a Construction Safety Manager for Nebraska-based projects with a key renewable energy client. This critical role will involve providing on-site observation of construction activities from an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) perspective, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. You will play a key role in fostering a safe work environment by monitoring health and safety protocols, training on-site staff and subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to project-specific safety plans. This is a full-time (60 hours), limited-term role for the duration of 6 months.
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site observation and oversight of construction activities from an EHS perspective.
Document and report on health and safety performance during construction activities.
Train on-site client staff and subcontractors on EHS program requirements and safety protocols.
Assist in implementing directives issued by the client's EHS personnel throughout the project.
Monitor compliance with the client's safety procedures and ensure work follows the approved project-specific safety plan.
Maintain safety-related documentation on-site, including safety training records, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), SDSs, pre-task assessments, and toolbox talk summaries.
Participate in daily pre-shift coordination meetings to discuss planned activities and associated hazards.
Review and comment on General Contractor JHAs, ensuring proper sign-off prior to work commencement.
Conduct daily site inspections focusing on work site safety and orderliness, address deviations, and collaborate with the General Contractor's Safety Manager to implement corrective actions.
Issue daily site observation reports following each inspection.
Provide incident investigation support/oversight and support the client-required reporting process.
A strong commitment to safety and capable of successfully implementing ERM's and the client's safety programs.
Resolve safety and quality issues with the contractor's safety and quality managers.
A strong attention to detail and documentation as evidenced by daily logs, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, periodic reporting, and other standard construction management activities.
An ability to exhibit flexibility, which may require late night and/or weekend attention and/or short notice travel to address project-related issues.
