Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Regional EHS Manager to support the development, deployment and continuous improvement of EHS management systems and programs across their U.S. and Canada sites.
this person will oversee approximately 6-8 facilities, ensuring compliance, driving cultural excellence, and leading key initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary EHS subject matter expert and business partner for assigned U.S. and Canadian facilities.
• Conduct regular site visits and audits to provide operational support.
• Collaborate with Operations to review incidents, corrective actions, lessons learned and compliance priorities.
• Support accident/incident investigations and share findings to prevent recurrence.
• Strengthen site EHS capability through guidance, benchmarking, and best-practice sharing.
• Facilitate stronger collaboration and communication between regional sites.

Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• CSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years' EHS/Industrial Hygiene/OH&S experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership responsibilities.
• Previous multi-site EHS oversight experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other relevant regulations.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) preferred.
• Strong incident investigation, root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing capability.
• Strong organizational, planning and program management skills.
• Knowledge of Behavior-Based Safety principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with EHS systems (e.g., EHS Velocity) beneficial.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50%.

Who You Are:
You have the following education & experience:
Required:
Degree, diploma or certificate in occupational, construction or industrial safety.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or equivalent professional safety designation desirable.
Knowledgeable in pipeline and oil and gas operations, hazards and safety management practices.
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in occupational health and safety in an oil and gas or industrial construction environment.
Further education, training or experience in auditing, compliance, and working with regulators would be an asset.

Job Summary

This position plays a key role in field-level safety support, training, and hazard prevention. You'll work alongside our crews to make safety personal, practical, and effective.

What You'll Do:
Job Site Presence: Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections on job sites involving slipform paving, batch plant operations, excavation, rebar/form work, and heavy equipment. Address hazards promptly.
Training & Orientation: Lead new hire safety orientations, conduct weekly toolbox talks, and provide on-the-spot safety coaching to ensure a safe work environment. Reinforce safe work practices and ensure understanding of job-specific hazards.
Incident Response & Reporting: Support incident response efforts, assist in investigations, and help identify root causes. Document findings in our HCSS Safety system and ensure timely follow-up.
Proactive Hazard Identification: Observe site operations for potential risks. Work with crews to develop solutions and verify implementation of corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance: Enforce OSHA 1926 standards, DOT regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records, including JHAs, SDSs, and inspection logs, to ensure compliance with regulations.

PPE & Equipment Checks: Monitor correct use of personal protective equipment and assist in verifying that equipment is inspected, tagged, and used safely.

The HSE Manager is responsible for assisting in the overall supervision and administration of safety for Business Unit projects to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Tests working areas for hazard exposures (noise, toxic, ) using associated testing equipment.
Investigation of accidents per program procedures to establish root cause for use in recommending preventive safety measures.
Documenting all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions or behavior
Assisting in development of standardized job safety analysis (JSA), corporate safety and health management program (SHMP), as well as project specific safety plans (PSSP).
