This is an individual contributor role and may supervise one person in the future. The role is titled as a Manager to reinforce the importance of the function within the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safety Leadership Serve as the company's safety leader and facilitator of the Safety Committee, ensuring consistent meeting cadence, documentation, and timely follow-up on action items. Maintain and continuously improve Insurcomm's safety manual, policies, and procedures, keeping them current with regulations and industry best practices. Lead investigations and root cause analyses for safety incidents, ensuring findings translate into meaningful learning and prevention. Support HR in incident and injury management, including accurate and timely reporting, investigation support, and claim management. Act as company liaison during OSHA and regulatory inspections or audits. Partner with operations and project leadership to promote an operationally led safety culture-where safety is everyone's responsibility, and leadership is demonstrated on every jobsite. Establish weekly content for safety meetings and maintain accurate records for attendance. Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and other required documentation such as SDS. Oversee PPE and respirator usage compliance, including medical evaluations and fit testing coordination. Develop and lead safety communications, equipment inspections, field audits, and awareness programs that keep safety visible, relevant, and lived daily across all teams. Procurement Oversee procurement related to safety and operational readiness, ensuring teams are always equipped with safe, compliant, and purpose-fit tools and materials. Manage procurement, distribution, and tracking of: PPE for all field personnel Equipment and materials supporting safe and efficient field operations Jobsite protection materials such as containment systems, environmental controls, and property safeguards Consumables and chemicals Maintain standards for ordering, storage, and distribution of all safety-related resources. Monitor inventory, restock proactively, and identify cost-saving or efficiency opportunities without compromising safety or quality. Partner with operations, warehouse, and accounting teams to ensure accuracy, accountability, and readiness. Develop preferred supplier programs and bulk purchasing discounts as well as national distribution channels to be leveraged across all field locations. Warehouse Safety, Organization, and Standardization Ensure all Insurcomm warehouses meet consistent standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization. The Portsmouth, NH warehouse serves as the gold standard: clean, well-lit, painted white, organized, and efficiently arranged to support operations. Other warehouses should adhere to the same principles, scaled appropriately to size and operations. Develop and enforce warehouse safety protocols, proper storage practices, and regular audits. Partner with local leadership to implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and readiness for field operations. Standardize material storage, labeling, and inventory management to maintain operational consistency across all locations. Certification and Workforce Readiness Serve as administrator for key company certifications, ensuring compliance, timely renewals, and alignment with industry standards (IICRC, RIA, Mold Remediation, OSHA 10/30, NETI, etc.). Maintain digital training and certification database tracking all employee credentials and renewal timelines. Develop annual certification training plans and schedules, maintain digital database tracking, and perform audits for company compliance. Coordinate ongoing training, recertification, and education opportunities that help every employee take ownership of their professional development. Partner with HR and Operations to embed safety training into onboarding, leadership development, and daily operations. Champion a learning culture that encourages curiosity, accountability, and pride in professional craftsmanship. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven experience leading safety, training, and compliance programs in restoration, construction, or environmental services. Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and relevant state and industry safety standards. Skilled in procurement, warehouse logistics, and equipment management. Strong adopter of technology for EHS management. Experience leading safety and compliance for multi-office locations. Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to engage field, warehouse, and office teams alike. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a passion for documentation and follow-through. Ability to lead by example-showing care, humility, and consistency in all safety and training efforts. Ability to present and train groups of people on related topics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience. 5-10 years of safety, compliance, or procurement experience in restoration, construction, or environmental services. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 Trainer preferred. IICRC, RIA, or NETI certifications preferred (or ability to obtain within six months). Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% to field locations, training events, and regional offices. Physical Demands This role includes regular jobsite and warehouse visits, which require standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work safely in active restoration, construction, and warehouse environments, modeling proper PPE use at all times. Work Environment This position is based at Insurcomm's corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, NH, with travel up to 50%.
