Provides a broad range of safety, health, training, and compliance services to field operations and company leadership. Advances the prevention of occupational injuries through field observations and inspections, hazard identification, risk mitigation, training development and implementation, incident and close call investigation, safety data analysis, safety and operational assessments, application of industry best practices and advancements, etc. Monitors compliance with Federal, State, Local and Company regulations and procedures.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Complex responsibilities related to primary focus of job area. Uses best practices and in-depth business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve products or services. May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* May provide guidance to other team members on specific project or activities.
* Monitors regulations for potential changes that could impact areas of responsibility.
* Performs advanced KPI analysis and provides reports on performance and recommendations for corrective actions that drive necessary business improvements.
* Works in a partnership capacity with all members of the business unit to drive the timely completion of corrective actions.
* Advises leadership on health, safety, and environmental risk, necessary corrective actions, and recommended strategy.
* Leads a wide range of duties associated with the investigation of Health and Safety, Environmental, and Operational incidents, including but not limited to; appropriate reported, investigation, documentation, and corrective actions.
* Leads hazard identification and mitigation activities.
* Leads inspection of company facilities and work sites and, where needed, recommends corrective actions to ensure compliance to established Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
* Leads audit activities on a wide range of business unit processes are procedures.
* All other duties as assigned.
* Performs spill response evaluation & notification to environmental operations.
* Leads Development and implementation of Health and Safety standards, procedures, and training programs that reduce risk exposure.
REQUIREMENTS
STAFF / LEVEL II
* Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related field And 2 years occupational health and safety experience. Or
* 7 years occupational health and safety experience. Or
* Bachelor's Degree And 4 years of directly related operational experience. Or
* 8 years of directly related operational experience.
SENIOR / LEVEL III
* Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related field And 5 years occupational health and safety experience. Or

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This position is responsible for applying safety programs to Facility, Fleet, and Telecommunication environments. Experience in these areas is preferred.
* Familiarity with energy-based safety programs.
* Proficient in interpreting and applying Fire Protection and Life Safety Codes.
* Experience developing and implementing Health and Safety standards, procedures, and training including Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, and Lifting/Rigging.
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
WORKING CONDITIONS
* This role involves regular travel within the OKC metro and occasional trips to other locations across the state within the OG&E service area.
* While uncommon, this role may include the occasional non-standard work schedule.
* May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.
* May be exposed to stressful and hazardous conditions and inclement weather.

Job Purpose
The Manager of HSE will ensure compliance within Canoo's OKC Manufacturing facility and across the company for Health, Safety and Environmental topics. This individual will collaborate with various departments to assess risks, provide training, and implement proactive measures to enhance the overall health and safety culture within the organization.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)
Coordinate and collaborate with senior leaders to create and inspire a safety culture based on HSE safety system focused on continuous improvement across the organization.
Monitor HSE related legislation and trends to understand potential impact to the business.
Support development and execution of the HSE strategy, standards, policies, and detailed
Monitor and report environmental and emissions data to satisfy emissions reduction efforts
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations across all Canoo sites.
Identify and implement emissions reduction initiatives.
Manage and develop the HSE staff by providing challenging assignments, achievable and motivational development, plans, and candid feedback to help employees achieve career goals.
Document metrics and analysis of HSE statistics.

Help
Tasks are performed following prescribed or established procedures to assist inspectors, investigators, and Flight Standards program officials in their fact-finding or program administration responsibilities and requires basic evaluative judgment. The work performed falls primarily in one of the following categories:
(1) Inspections where determinations are based on visual or other specific inspection techniques and are made based on relatively clear-cut considerations such as the presence or absence of required documents or the obvious physical condition of an item or premises. These inspections are governed by specific procedures and serve as bases for action by compliance program officials. Typically, such work includes both initial and follow-up inspections including obtaining samples and performing well-established field tests, if appropriate.
(2) Technical support to inspections or investigations such as searching for, gathering, screening, and providing factual information or explanations related to the subject of an inspection or investigation or to the compliance program itself. These tasks are performed following prescribed or established procedures to assist compliance inspectors, investigators, and program officials in their fact finding or program administration responsibilities. The work includes activities such as obtaining background information on subjects of inspections or investigations by means of record searches, structured interviews, automated information retrieval, telephone inquiries, or correspondence; providing information to authorized persons concerning the status of particular investigations; explaining licensing or other requirements, including exceptions or exemptions, to persons or organizations subject to regulations; compiling final investigative reports with necessary exhibits; and maintaining required administrative reports on topics such as manpower, case load, and case status.
Work in investigating, inspecting, or advising individuals or organizations subject to Federal laws, regulations, or other mandatory guidelines to assure their understanding and compliance when such work requires considerable evaluative judgment is excluded from this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Administration
Provides technical knowledge and support to aviation safety inspectors, the general public, stakeholders, and airmen regarding a wide variety of aviation-related topics. Extracts safety data and information from FAA records to identify trends for items that affect aviation safety and enters technical findings in agency approved databases.
This individual will provide technical assistance and/or support with certification, surveillance, investigation, and/or enforcement, examples include, but are not limited to:
Certification Support
* Provides technical support to ASl's during certification of operators and air agencies.
* Reviews airmen certification files, submitted by designees for accuracy.
* Reviews inspection authorization files for renewal eligibility.
* Conducts Operational Color Vision Tests.
* Reviews designee management system to determine renewal eligibility.
* Compiles data for technical reports.
Surveillance Support
* Assists ASI's with surveillance of aviation events.
* Assists in drafting and issuing waivers and authorizations.
Investigation Support
