What You'll Do
This position is responsible for supporting execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external
safety programs. Drive behavior-based safety culture to achieve accident-prevention and loss mitigation at
E2 Optics customer locations.

Provides safety and health training, instruction and coaching to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.
Assists the Safety Manager with incident/accident investigations, subsequent documentation, problem solving and implementation of countermeasure(s).
Conducts and/or participates in Safety audits to review practices and records to ensure compliance with relevant H&S programs and OSHA regulations.
Track, trend and drive structured problem solving for recurring safety issues that prohibit realization of performance targets

PAY RANGE: Based on experience

Job DescriptionSalary:
The District Safety Managerwill lead and oversee safety programs across multiple construction sites within a designated district. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and reducing risk through training, inspections, and incident investigations. This role proactively integrates safety into planning, field execution, and leadership decision-making across the district. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction safety and a passion for protecting people and property.
Essential Job Functions
Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and procedures across all district job sites.
Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate, deliver, and document safety trainings and orientations for employees and subcontractors.
Maintain safety documentation, including reports, logs, and compliance records.
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to promote safe work practices.
Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Serve as the districts point of contact for all safety-related matters.
Conduct and support job hazard analyses and pre-task planning.
Promote and track near-miss reporting and corrective actions.
All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Talents
Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects.
Familiarity with safety technologies such as digital safety tools.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office.
OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred to effectively support training, field engagement, and safety communication across diverse teams.
5+ years of experience in construction safety, with multi-site or regional oversight preferred.

+ Conducts safety audits on assigned projects by identifying, documenting and recommending abatement of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions to internal and external clients.Utilizes internal safety management systems to document findings and to track abatement techniques and closure.
+ Conducts project-specific new hire orientation and oversees drug and alcohol policy compliance.
+ Monitors the implementation of prime contractor and/or subcontractors' safety programs.
+ Attends project pre-planning, progress and other relevant project-related meetings to discuss safety-related matters.
+ Supports field leadership in the implementation of the safety program specifics, such as meetings, committees and related activities well as chairing the project safety committee.
+ Assists in the investigation of project-related accidents. Confers with supervisor to determine root cause and discuss recommendations for changes in the work processes to eliminate recurrence.
+ Coordinates with injured employees and clinics to ensure that the worker attends treatment and is returned to work at some capacity in a timely manner. Compiles progress summary reports of injuries for supervisor.
+ Monitors site safety incentive program.
