Job Responsibilities
Hands-on development and implementation of client EHS programs, including Biosafety, Chemical Safety, Radiation Safety, Hazard Communication, Emergency Preparedness, and Additional OSHA-specific safety programs as needed.
Establishment and maintenance of EHS permits and licenses in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Qualifications

Raging Waters Los Angeles - Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Director
Roles & Responsibilities:
The HSE Director will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management system for Raging Waters Los Angeles, Castle Park, Boomers-Vista, and Boomers-Palm Springs to meet the requirements of applicable Palace Entertainment HSE standards, Parques Reunidos HSE standards and federal, state, and local requirements. Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable legal and Parques Reunidos HSE requirements at each assigned park.
Full-time position: Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)
Pay Range $95,000 - $105,000 annually

Roles & Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement and monitor the park HSE management system at assigned parks.
* Develop and implement park HSE procedures and instructions to prevent injury to workers, contractors, and guests to prevent environmental or property damage at all assigned parks.
* Incorporate Parques Reunidos HSE standards and local legal HSE requirements into park procedures and training at all assigned parks.
* Support park management teams in the deployment and delivery of Palace Entertainment and Parques Reunidos HSE standards and procedures at all assigned parks.
* Provide expertise and training to park team members on HSE topics, including but not limited to local HSE legislation, risk assessment, and preventive and protective measures, emergency management, incident reporting, PPE, safety coordination of suppliers and contractors, audits and inspections, waste management, identification and evaluation and monitoring of environmental impacts.
* Serve as subject-matter expert for park management regarding California DOSH, Cal-OSHA, and environmental requirements as applicable to each assigned park.
* Prepare, coordinate, and present HSE related training presentations for employees at each park location as needed and coordinated with the park general manager. Monthly in-person training should be presented at Raging Waters Los Angeles and Castle Park. In-person training should be at least once per quarter at each Boomers location with online presentations used for other months.
* Encourage and promote commitment, at each assigned park, by the park management, staff, suppliers, and contractors to Parques Reunidos HSE values and requirements.
* Conduct ongoing proactive risk assessments, together with park management teams and other relevant stakeholders, to identify and minimize potential risks in all aspects of park operations.
* Perform regular self-audits and inspections at assigned parks to verify compliance with HSE standards, procedures and applicable local HSE regulations. Carry out the controls and checks needed to ensure that products and services provided by the parks meet the applicable HSE standards and regulations. Reports findings and recommendations to park management and/or the Palace Entertainment Regional Director of HSE.
* Perform HSE cross-audits as assigned at other parks of the group, acting as lead auditor or support auditor, as per Parques Reunidos HSE Audit Program.
* Ensure equipment, including maintenance equipment, amusement devices, attractions, and rides meet applicable industry standards, as defined by local regulations, applicable ASTM, Parques Reunidos, and Palace Entertainment standards at assigned parks.
* Develop, update, and implement the Emergency Action Plan, including planning and coordination of drills/exercises and training, as applicable at each assigned park.
* Responsible for the investigation of all HSE related incidents to determine causes and recommend remedial and preventive action at each of the assigned parks. Collect required investigation documentation and complete incident reports within established deadlines using the approved online reporting system.
* Perform monthly incident trend analysis and review with park management teams for each assigned park.
* Monitor and confirm completion of follow-up actions for HSE related findings at assigned parks arising from audits, inspections, incident investigations and regulatory or Parques Reunidos requirements.
* Perform quarterly reviews and updates of the WorldLex self-assessment tool to provide and maintain current evidence of compliance as needed for each assigned park.
* Identify weaknesses and deficiencies in each parks HSE management system and recommend corrective actions to park management.
* Coordinate sustainability activities at each assigned park to proactively improve energy, water, and waste reduction, reuse, and recycling initiatives.
* Oversee the timely and accurate completion of Parques Reunidos Sustainability Reports for assigned parks.

* University or Technical School Degree or Diploma. Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences, or related technical field is preferred. Equivalent safety management experience may be considered.
