The Director, Safety Scientist provides key support as an experienced safety scientist that leads and performs high quality and timely scientific, operational, and applicable medical safety analysis. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and other applicable regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Health and Safety Plan (HASP) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Lead emergency response efforts including chemical spills, fires, and medical emergencies. Serve as Incident Commander or Safety Officer during emergency events. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs). Deliver HAZWOPER and emergency response training to site personnel. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate safety records and report performance metrics. Collaborate with site supervisors, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field or 8 years of related field and management experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in hazardous waste or emergency response environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA regulations.
