POSITION OVERVIEW:
The EHS Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures, along with conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years combined experience in construction and/or safety roles OSHA 30-hour certification required; CHST or CSP is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in hands-on safety leadership in an industrial or plant environment
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Overview of YOUR role as a Site Safety and Health Officer
As a Site Safety and Health Officer, you will ensure the safety and health of all personnel working on a 6.25 MW Generation plant construction project. This role requires a certified safety professional who can develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, conduct inspections, and maintain regulatory compliance while managing confined space procedures and excavation safety.
As a Site Safety and Health Officer YOU will:
· Prepare Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned projects
· Ensure compliance with all Safety Policies and OSHA/EPA standards
· Conduct Safety Audits and project safety inspections with follow-up of open items
· Provide safety training to all project personnel
· Review Subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre-Construction Meetings
· Conduct accident and incident investigations and develop Corrective Action Plans
· Foster and maintain a positive safety culture for project personnel
· Manage confined space procedures and rescue operations for excavations averaging 9-10 ft deep
· Conduct safety meetings and produce Safety Reports
YOU are the ideal Site Safety and Health Officer candidate if you have:
· EM385 40-hour certification
· OSHA card within the last 5 years
· Current First Aid and CPR certification
· Experience with confined space procedures and rescue operations
· Knowledge of excavation safety protocols
· Understanding of OSHA/EPA requirements and compliance standards
· Experience conducting safety audits and inspections
· Strong training and communication skills
· Ability to develop Site-Specific Safety Plans
· Experience with incident/accident investigations
It's a BONUS if you have:
· Experience on power generation or utility construction projects
· Additional safety certifications beyond minimum requirements
· Experience with large-scale excavation and confined space projects
