Advanced Environmental Group, Inc. (AEG) is seeking a Safety Specialist - Site Safety Officer in California. The health and safety technician will support the AEG Safety Team. This position is designed for individuals with 3-5+ years of experience in the construction safety and environmental remediation field. This individual must be familiar with general construction, drilling, heavy equipment operation and large-scale remedial/construction activity. This contracted position is a full-time.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Full time assignment to complete a variety of health and safety related roles in support of a major projects. The CHST , ASP or CHST/ASP candidate will provide oversight of field crews performances during, installation and testing; construction of remediation well-head infrastructure; above-ground water storage infrastructure; buildings and above-ground structures; grading and earthwork; construction of electrical infrastructure; and, controls/instrumentation activities. All site work will be conducted in accordance with Cal/OSHA (Construction and General Industry) Safety Orders; site specific health and safety plan(s); and, AEG policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years' experience performing full time construction health and safety related tasks including: managing safety programs, processes, conducting hazard analyses and audits, and developing controls;
Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST ) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP ) or meet requirements to sit and pass exam;
40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Certified or training to be provided;
Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA, NFPA, & ANSI safety related regulations.
Good time management skills and communication; and,
Experience using MS Office Suite products required.
REQUIRED DRIVING STATEMENT

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work will be performed outdoors or on construction project jobsites subject to extreme heat and cold, noise, vibrations and dust. Must have the ability to wear a respirator and adhere to all company safety requirements, where required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffold; kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, twist, finger grasp and feel on a constant and repetitive basis; stand, walk, talk, see (20/20 vision naturally or corrected), hear within normal range and perform repetitive motion activities.
Must be able to physically negotiate the hazards of a new construction worksite (e.g. uneven surfaces, floor openings, heights, construction debris and limited lighting) and adhere to all company safety requirements.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT
Field work and desk/office work. As necessary, must be able to travel to other work areas, be aware of safety requirements for those areas, and work within those constraints (e.g. access procedures and proper PPE). Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand is required to access various locations on the project site.
CRITICALITY OF ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance and punctuality is required. Project schedule and is based on a 8-hour day, 5 days per week. Overtime may be required through duration of the job.

This is a hands-on role supporting a high-tech manufacturing environment that includes cleanrooms, RF testing, and specialized assembly workflows. You'll be responsible for keeping our facility running smoothly, safely, and in full compliance ensuring that equipment, systems, and protocols support both operational efficiency and employee wellbeing.
Duties/Responsibilities
Manage daily facility operations, including infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and security).
Conduct routine safety checks of tools and equipment prior to shift start to ensure safe operation.
Monitor RF testing environments and other specialized areas to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance.
Oversee facility-related projects and initiatives, including layout changes, equipment installations, and process improvements to support manufacturing operations
Maintain cleanroom functionality and enforce related procedures and protocols.
Serve as primary contact for safety matters, including incident response, hazard identification, and corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and ensure safety integration into daily processes.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of safety inspections, permits, compliance reports, and facility-related records to support audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting
Partner with leadership to foster a proactive, safety-conscious workplace culture and help maintain a professional, well-managed facility environment

10+ years of progressive experience in facility management, including at least 7 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Experience performing routine safety checks on tools/equipment and responding to facility safety concerns

POSITION SUMMARY
The Office Manager for the Health and Safety Department provides comprehensive administrative support to departmental management. This position requires a safety-oriented individual with strong organizational skills. * 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training within the last three (3) years or current OSHA 500/502.
* An average of at least twenty-four (24) hours of formal safety training each year for the past five years (typical training acceptable: Competent Person Excavation & Trenching, First Aid & CPR, Fall Protection Training, Electrical Hazards, Hazard Communication, Driver Training, Confined Space Hazards, Hazardous Material Training, etc.). Current 40 Hour Construction Hazard Awareness Course (EM385-1-1) and working knowledge of OSHA and EM385-1-1 and other state and federal agency safety requirements.
* Extensive knowledge of Fall Protection standards meeting the minimum Competent Person for Fall Protection as described in EM385-1-1.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to teach, mentor and lead.
* Ability to work in high production environment (50+ hours/week, including nights and weekends are expected) and respond quickly and effectively under pressure.
