    Arcadis has an opening for an experienced EHS Manager to join our team in Cary, NC. In this role you will assist in the development and continuous improvement of the Arcadis safety culture through verbal and written communication, developing and conducting EHS training programs, and providing safety coaching and mentoring to the department. Proven success working for a GC or EPCM consultancy company in a similar role, supporting projects related to cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fab, data center, solar manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction EHS management, ideally supporting semiconductor, life science or related industrial high-tech projects and live within commutable distant to the project site. Responsibilities Act as a technical resource for construction management group. Provide on-site safety support for construction management projects as needed. Review safety inspections and safety observations generated by field personnel and provide coaching to ensure continuous improvement. Develop and conduct EH&S training. Conduct visits for on-site safety compliance and provide appropriate and timely follow-up. Prequalify subcontractors for project based on EHS metrics. Facilitate kick-off subcontractor meetings. Manage constructability review meetings with subcontractors. Review all job hazard analysis (JHA). Facilitate Construction Incident Analysis Meetings. Manage corrective action plans. Conduct quarterly subcontractor audits. Daily duties include but are not limited to participating in the safety leadership team, safety coordination meetings, mass safety meetings, daily pre-task plans, daily field compliance audits. Share weekly and monthly all safety metrics, leading indicators and lagging indicators, TRIR, LTIR. Good writing communication skills Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree level education in Engineering, Construction, EH&S, or related field with minimum 5 years' direct experience in EHS management positions supporting large scale construction projects. Ideally working for client, GC, or EPCM company. And or related certifications: CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, STSC, OSHA 1926 500. Demonstrated proficiency with Procore, Deltek, Highwire, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam. Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with people at all levels within the organization, client and project partners. This position will work primarily on a construction site with some time in an office. This position may be required to work at Arcadis contracted sites with varying changes in settings to include temperature, indoor and/or outdoor settings. Noise levels will be high at times depending upon work location. Should be prepared to work in all levels of noise and wear protective hearing equipment as needed. Must wear required PPE as required by Arcadis or its contractors. As a part of this environment, there may be the need to wear cleanroom coveralls and follow client hygiene protocols. Will embrace a safe work environment and support a workplace of respect, appreciation, and acceptance for everyone. Ability to travel to off-site locations in a timely and efficient manner. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce the Contractor's Safety and Health Program in accordance with contract requirements and applicable regulations. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, AR 420-1, and EO 14057 sustainability and environmental directives. Conduct daily safety inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments for all ongoing site activities. Prepare, maintain, and update all required Safety Plans, Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), and other safety documentation. Provide regular safety briefings, toolbox talks, and safety-related training for all project personnel and subcontractors. Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Required Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory experience in preparing and enforcing a Contractor's safety program on contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity within the past. The Site Safety Supervisor will work closely with the Corporate Safety Department and field operations to improve or maintain all areas of occupational safety & health performance for projects assigned. Requirements: * A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety with emphasis on behavioral based safety programs and fundamentals of safety leadership. * Experience on heavy civil construction projects preferred, with Confined Space and Trenching & Excavation. * Knowledge of and ability to effectively interpret and use all applicable Federal and State occupational safety regulations, as well as ANSI, NFPA, NEC and other non-regulatory safety codes and standards. * OSHA 510 required, OSHA 500/502 preferred * Competency Trainer for Fall Protection, Excavation and Trenching * Must Possess a valid state driver's license. * Able to write routine reports and correspondence. * Able to enter confined spaces. * First Aid/CPR certification. * Position may include weekend or night work. * May include working permanently on a job site. Required Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory experience in preparing and enforcing a Contractor's safety program on contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity within the past. Must have successfully completed the 30-hour OSHA Safety Class or equivalent within the last three (3) years. Must pass a background screen Preferred Qualifications: Dedicated safety professional certified in OSHA-30 and EM 385-1-1 compliance. Advanced training in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), AR 420-1 sustainability, and Executive Order (EO) 14057 environmental compliance.
