SGS is currently looking for a qualified H&S Coordinator to provide comprehensive Health & Safety (H&S) services for a client who has two subsidiaries located in the United States and Canada. This contract would start in February until October 2025. Initially, it would likely be 2-3 days a week with the potential to being full time later on.
The principal objectives will be:
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state/provincial, and local H&S regulations in the USA and Canada.
• Standardize H&S documentation and processes across USA and Canada.
• Support the subsidiaries to create a robust safety culture aligned with the client USA's principles.
• Provide support to ensure compliance with Stellantis' H&S standards across 10 sites in the USA and Canada involved in a light fixture replacement project.
Scope of Work:
Regulatory Compliance
Documentation Development and Management
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Reporting and Communication
Comprehensive H&S manuals for the USA and Canadian subsidiaries.
Site-specific safety plans.
Risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
10 plants to be handled in parallel in the USA (9) and Canada (1).
Two plants in Michigan USA will require an H&S coordinator with weekly visits.
For the remaining plants, the support will focus on consulting and document management
Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator.
Must have OSHA/CRSP/NEBOSH or equivalent certifications.
Industry experience in Commercial Buildings/Structures/Industrial.
Must have previous experience in:
Regulatory Compliance
Documentation Development and Management
Risk Assessment and Mitigation.
Work schedule is 8 hours a day
Hourly rate: $40-$50/hr depending on experience.
Must be able to travel between Canada and the US.
