Job Requirements:
Strong Electrical background
Minimum of 7 years construction safety experience
BCSP Certification

Responsibilities
As the new Health & Safety Specialist for REAL ALLOY, you will support the implementation of health and safety programs, processes, and systems. In this role, you will be the primary on-site Health and Safety support for 3 local plants as well as helping to support other REAL ALLOY facilities across the organization.

Partnering with plant and corporate resources to implement proactive solutions to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses and advance injury control programs.

Assist plants with development and execution of site-specific training programs and content to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Work directly (on-site and remotely) with plant/HSE management to accelerate assigned projects, tasks, initiatives, and incident investigations as needed.
Interact with and provides visible leadership to all employees, particularly those on the plant floor, to drive safety awareness, engagement, and improvement.
Complete H&S inspections, audits, observations, and risk assessments to detect and eliminate at-risk behaviors / conditions and non-standard practices.
Collect and analyze incident data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge for all Federal, State and Local regulations.
Lead EHS compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments.

Key Responsibilities of the Regional EHS Manager
Accountable for developing relationships with SA Recycling employees and promote and fostering an industry leading safety culture within the assigned region.
Develop, conduct, or schedule EHS training programs for all employees in the assigned region to include new hire orientation, job-specific training, and on-going training to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
Prepare periodic environmental/regulatory reports for all applicable Federal, State, and Local Regulatory agencies and relevant internal departments; and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all EHS activities including training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.

Qualifications for the Regional EHS Manager
Bachelors Degree related to Occupational Safety, Environmental, or Natural Sciences; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of direct experience managing EHS programs in a metals recycling, heavy industry or manufacturing setting highly preferred.
Through knowledge of OSHA and strong working knowledge of EPA regulations required.
Experience in implementing change management and process improvement in the work environment.

We are seeking to hire an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) at our Streetsboro, OH manufacturing site (part of our Apertures Solutions, producing window & doors). Main Purpose of Role

Job Description
We are seeking to hire an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) at our Streetsboro, OH manufacturing site (part of our Apertures Solutions, producing window & doors). The primary purpose of the EHS Manager is to provide leadership and direction to assure that the site and its employee populations are knowledgeable and compliant in the applicable areas of Environmental, Health, & Safety. This position will champion projects, and activities to achieve location and company goals & objectives. Reports directly to the Plant Manager and indirectly to the Corporate EHS Leadership team. As a part of the extended corporate EHS team, this position will periodically be assigned to corporate initiatives or teams and/or directed to assist other company locations/Organizations with projects (remote or travel to location).
Develop and implement policies and programs to ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc…) for assigned locations and groups.
Ensure that local policies and procedures for safe work are established, implemented, and followed at assigned work locations.
Lead location/department managers and teams in promoting and practicing safe operating procedures.
Develop and implement procedures for local compliance with corporate incident reporting and investigation programs
Provide EHS technical expertise to local investigation teams, identifying root causes and suggesting corrective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Develop, arrange, implement, and conduct EHS training to maintain regulatory compliance for assigned location(s) and or organization(s). Present to facility population.
Maintain and execute an EHS compliance calendar for all required regulatory and policy activities.
Serve in a management leadership capacity on EHS-related committees for assigned locations and organizations.
Ensures mandatory regulatory event reporting (such as annual OSHA 300 log, notifications of serious accidents, hospitalizations, or deaths).
Collaborate with site management to develop corrective action plans and set goals for enhancing EHS compliance performance in the upcoming year.
Leads location EHS review meetings with location leadership team, EHS Corporate and other applicable higher management levels.
Conduct annual reviews and audits of assigned locations to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and regulations. Develop corrective action plans as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in EHS or related Science field is required. Master's Degree in EHS or related Science field is preferred. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 10 years' experience within EHS function will be considered
Minimum 5 years' experience in EHS function within a Manufacturing setting with direct responsibility for EHS activity and experience with Regulatory Agency interactions (inspections, official written response, arbitration, etc.) . Advanced degrees and certifications may count in lieu of years of service

Thorough understanding of Environmental regulations including Title V air permitting, Stormwater Pollution Prevention, Waste Water and Hazardous Waste Management
Priority made for: Technical Writing, Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Training skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong business acumen
Experience with leadership positions and ability to manage complex operations and projects
