The Enviromental Health & Safety Specialist is an integral part of our Environmental Health & Safety team based out of our US - Sarasota, FL site.
Compensation range for this position is $75,000.00 -$95,000.00
Position Details
The Enviromental, Health, and Safety Specialist will develop and implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment as well as advance environmentally sustainable activities. Also ensuring compliance with corporate, local, state and federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility.
Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
Ensures compliance with safety and environmental procedures for OSHA, EPA, FLDEP, NFPA, and local requirements.
Knowledgeable in OSHA's Injury and Illness recordkeeping and reporting requirements that include OSHA 300A form, Incident Rate and DART Rate.
Knowledgeable in GHS Hazardous Communication Program for Safety Data Sheets and Labeling requirements.
Participates in the EH&S Council Team chaired by Corporate EH&S
Monthly safety inspections
Forklift certification/training
Responsible for emergency drills and requirements.
OSHA required trainings
Performs other related duties as assigned.

As an STS Safety Trainer, you will work within our Safety Department to achieve STS safety strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Creates, develops, and implements effective training by assessing needs, producing material, and establishing action plans for all STS Florida locations.
Conducts training for all STS Florida locations, including but not limited to FDOT Basic Traffic Control Apprenticeship (Flagger) certification classes, driver safety, first aid, and FDOT Intermediate or Advance Certification.
Develops and conducts safety orientation that will focus on areas necessary for employees to develop safety protocols through the course of employment.
Communicates with STS Safety and Operations Departments to identify additional safety training needs at STS Florida locations.
Maintains accurate records of safety training.
Use safety audit training records to assess and conduct refresher training as needed.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in traffic control.
Current certifications in CPR, OSHA Training for Construction Certification, and FDOT Intermediate or Advance Certification.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities in FDOT Standard Plans for Road Construction (FDOT INDEX 102-600 SERIES) and regulations.
Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Office Suite.
Organizational and Management skills.
Information and communication management skills.
Soft skills: awareness, decision making, accountability and interpersonal skills.

As a Quality & Safety Manager, you will oversee service operations for Breeze Plus to supervise driver performance, train drivers, support riders, de-escalate conflicts, and manage incidents when they occur. This is a shift-based position (requiring 8-9 hour shifts) in-person based out of our Sarasota, FL location. While standard schedules are provided, this role does require flexibility to work occasional evenings, Saturdays, and extended hours as business needs arise.
What You'll Do:
Conduct regular performance evaluations of drivers, providing feedback and coaching to improve service quality and efficiency.
Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing training for existing drivers.
Handle customer service issues, resolving complaints and making decisions to promote passenger satisfaction.
Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and implement creative solutions to solve problems as they arise.
Go to the scene of accidents and incidents to manage processes and protocols.

Safely and courteously, operate lift-equipped vehicles to transport elderly and/or persons with disabilities.

Who You Are:
Minimum of 3+ years' experience in transportation services or comparable industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications in transportation, logistics, or related field preferred.
At least 25 years old.
Hold a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
An effective communicator and holds excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle stressful situations diplomatically.
Proficient in using a tablet and standard office software (e.g., Google Suite).
Possess good knowledge of the city and community of Sarasota, FL.
Are able to operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle within standard safety guidelines to ensure public safety.
Must be able to safely push and maneuver more than 400 pounds of weight, such as in assisting passengers in wheelchairs or handling heavy equipment.
Must be comfortable bending down on one knee for extended periods of time to secure wheelchairs and other mobility aids within confined spaces.
Able to deal effectively and courteously with all customers and the public.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Successful completion of a pre-employment physical exam, drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable.
