The Life Safety Specialist assists in planning, organizing, monitoring, and conducting Life Safety (LS) programs and activities at Orlando Health. In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA/EM 385-1-1) and procedures Develop AHA documents on site with Project Team Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus Outstanding organizational skills Diligent with great attention to detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics BS/BA in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred Instructor-signed OSHA 30- hour training CARD OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1 certified First Aid, BBP and CPR certified and up to date Physical Demands/Work Environment: Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
