The Role:
Provide H&S support and expertise to site management to help drive H&S performance and competencies.
Implement long-term H&S strategy and promote a proactive, behavior-based approach to Safety.
Monitor changes to all H&S regulations pertaining to their region.
Accountable for managing site H&S documentation to include program design, H&S data collection and posting, training documentation, and KPI reports.
Support all locations in ensuring compliance with local and federal regulatory requirements.
Ensure company remains compliant and informed of industry regulatory changes when it comes to bodies such as OSHA & MSHA
The Candidate:
3+ years of Safety experience within either Mining or Industrial Construction.
MSHA experience preferred, but not required
OSHA 500 & 510 certified
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
Ability to manage multiple activities and work independently.
Hands-on approach, able to work in a field role that requires travel from site to site.
Ability to travel weekly around South Florida

General Description
As a Safety Engineer, you will provide support to the Project Staff and the Concrete Strategies safety team in an effort to execute corporate safety and health standards and procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. In addition to your project responsibilities, you shall participate in and complete all assignments designated to you. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting in development of a zero injury safety culture on each project, conducting at least weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, effectively communicate orientations for all new project workers, assist with and review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analysis, actively promote and participate in daily stretch and flex program, identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents, support corporate goals and initiatives, emphasize and support proactive safety such as near miss/hazard reporting, coach and recognize workers on safe work methods, report all incidents in an effective and timely manner following established protocols and be a champion in motivating workers to perform their jobs safely! Your responsibilities will be all encompassing for each project you will be dedicated to.

Responsibilities
Assist in development of the project safety program.
Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
Administer and record their participation in the orientation program and issue identification to those employees completing the orientation program.
Attend all initial meetings with the project staff and subcontractor representatives to clearly define their role within the confines of the project safety program.
Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each subcontractor representatives to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor's activity on site.
Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and with project staff to ensure proper compliance.
Facilitate training for site personnel and ensure that standards are per the OSHA\Concrete Strategies and in compliance with Federal and State standards.
Ensure and maintain a log of each subcontractor toolbox safety meeting.
Review each subcontractors? safety program and ensure that it meets or exceeds the project safety program requirements.
Ensure that each subcontractor designates a safety representative that is properly trained in subcontractors scope of work and has the proper authority to correct safety issues.
Conduct regular daily and weekly jobsite inspections and complete the safety checklist noting safety violations and corrective actions.
Record, notify and prepare written report of any violations or unsafe practices to subcontractors for immediate correction actions.
Stop at once any violation or unsafe acts or practices.
Assist the Project Superintendent in establishing and implementing proper fire prevention, evacuation and fire control procedures.
Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports.
Establish and maintain all required safety records.
Conduct a monthly overview safety meeting and attend project staff meetings to brief on safety issues.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Education/Experience
B.S. in Safety and Health or equivalent
At least two (2) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques.
Bilingual in Spanish and intercultural communication skills is preferred
OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Physical requirements
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Identify Risks. Identify and evaluate risks associated with the surface or underground mining, asphalt, ready-mix, heavy-duty ships and transportation, and processing of construction materials.
Investigate Accidents. Participate in investigations of accidents and near misses and the identification of root causes and corrective actions; accurately maintain a database of injury and safety information.
Administer Programs and Training. Assist in developing and administering programs, such as Division and Company Safety and Health Programs and Policies, the Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Health program, Emergency Response Planning, the Continuous Materials Inventory program, Accident Prevention Initiatives, and Regulatory Compliance training.
Travel Requirements: 25% travel required with some overnight stays (Ft. Myers, Moore Heaven, and Ft. Pierce area). Position is eligible for vehicle allowance program.

Experience. Previous experience in an industrial environment or mining/aggregates industry in either surface or underground operations is required.

Our Specialists help our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients ensure brand standards, food quality, and friendly service for their customers. They also:

* Observe food prep and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices

What do you need?
* Bachelor's degree (Hospitality Management, Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts or other Science degree), with at least one year of experience in food service, restaurant or grocery operations
* Bachelor's degree (other than Science/Food/Hospitality) with at least two years of experience in food service, restaurant or grocery operations
* Associates degree with at least four years progressive experience in food service, restaurant or grocery operations
* High School diploma from an accredited school or GED and at least five years progressive experience in food service, restaurant or grocery operations
* Meet the requirements to obtain CP-FS certification within 1 year of hire
* Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed (including 2 weekend days/month)

The Sundial Beach Resort & Spa is currently seeking a Safety Representative responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members. The position will also help to provide security of the Resort and assets of the Resort while delivering excellent guest service.
*2nd and 3rd shift
Primary Responsibilities:
Regularly patrol the Resort property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions. Patrols will include interior patrols of the Resort Centre building, including all employee (non-guest areas) as well as perimeter checks of the Resort grounds to include condo buildings A through T buildings.
Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
Promote safe work practices.
Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents as needed.
Write reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and works to resolve in timely, friendly and efficient manner.
