POSITION OVERVIEW: The EHS Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures, along with conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. MAJOR FUNCTION The primary role of the Health and Safety Officer (HSO) is to ensure that workers are provided a safe work environment in accordance with occupational safety and health regulations and industry standards. This will be accomplished by ensuring that the required health and safety policies and programs are being implemented by the designated responsible parties in the workplace. The HSO will practice and enforce the established health and safety and industrial hygiene procedures to foster the highest margin of safety practicable. Related duties include calibration and set-up of monitoring instruments, download and management of electronic data, and packaging and shipping of sampling media to designated analytical laboratories. * The HSO will assist the PM Team with response, investigation and reporting of job-related injuries and illnesses. EVS Site Safety & Health Officer, Level 2 (L2 SSHO) Dedicated safety lead for EVS operations, ensuring that all cleaning activities-from chemical handling to equipment operation-adhere to EM 385-1-1 variances, OSHA HCS, and CA-specific safety codes.
