Job Purpose

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
OSHA 30-hour training certificate or training card.
Resume or certificates demonstrating, twenty-four (24) hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) related training within the past five years and must maintain competency by taking twenty-four (24) hours every three-year period for the duration of the task order. The initial OSHA 30-hour training does not count towards the twenty-four (24) hour competency training requirement. A detailed description is required for any training for which a certificate is not available.
Resume demonstrating five (5) years of cumulative safety experience, within the last ten (10) years in managing or implementing a SOH program on projects similar in industry type, size, and complexity as this task order.
Must show evidence of training will be maintained on site and made available to the COR and/or the MTF Safety and Health Officer immediately upon request.
L1 SSHO is required to be onsite during normal business hours.
The L1 SSHO will also be responsible for the designation, assignment, coordination and monitoring of Alternate SSHOs, Designated Representatives (DR) and Competent Person (CP) as required by the contractor's approved AHA, especially when work assigned must be accomplished outside of normal duty hours

Responsibilities:
Safety Program Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Site Safety Inspections: Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections of construction sites, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions. Monitor construction activities to ensure safety regulations are being followed.
