Primary responsibilities:
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of learning solutions for Safety & Airworthiness leaders, engineers, and specialists within the Safety & Airworthiness University
Create, collaborate, and facilitate organizational learning strategies for the Safety & Airworthiness University across the existing colleges
Collaborate and align with other engineering colleges and universities across the enterprise with specific focus on supporting the Colleges within the Safety and Airworthiness University and CASO organization
Participate in and assist in facilitating University Community of Practice Alliance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor or higher from an accredited university
Level 3: 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience working in the field of Learning and Development or Knowledge Management with specific knowledge of Adult Learning Theory
Experience within learning and development and/ or employee development and training
3+ years of experience supporting the development or maintenance of E-Learning
Experience in a role that required excellent communication, project management, presentation, and facilitation skills

This position serves as a leader in providing up-to-date information on how staff can protect themselves against injury and exposure to hazardous materials so that research with nonhuman primates (NHPs) can be conducted in a safe manner. This includes maintaining the WaNPRC NHP exposure log as required, working directly with UW Employee Health Center staff, developing methods to evaluate injury trend data, and making recommendations to the UW Group 1 Health and Safety Committee as appropriate and needed. Collaborate with EH&S staff in conducting market research for new and improved safety related items or equipment and implement these solutions by trial-based method to determine their effectiveness in the reduction or mitigation of workplace hazards.
- Coordinate with (EH&S) to assure that UW occupational health recommendations and requirements are implemented programmatically at the WaNPRC. This includes assisting EH&S staff in individualized health-based risk assessments as well as coordinating annual visits to the WaNPRC by clinic staff and facilitating necessary medical screenings, surveillance, and testing.

About the role:
A Flagger / Traffic Safety Technician (TST) will perform a wide range of traffic control and flagging tasks to provide safety and support to our contractors on job sites or public/private roadways.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position per WA Law.
Job Description
Use hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road constructions sites
Communicate with other Flaggers/ TSTs using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane
Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety
Appropriately position warning and detour signs around construction sites
Set up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas
Remove all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction work
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions
Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change
Ability to work with a variety of personalities
Ability to work under pressure
Understanding of basic flagging policies, procedures, rules, and state and federal laws
State valid flagging certification card (Company flagger certification provided if needed)
Reliable transportation
CPR certified (preferred, not required upon hire)
Additional Information
Full time, $19 to $23/hour based on experience
