Job Description The Global Functional Safety Manager architects and implements the client's global strategy for functional safety (ISO 26262), in order to secure the client's position among the leaders in the automotive industry in the area of functional safety. Qualifications JOB FUNCTIONS (ESSENTIAL) Establish, implement and maintain the client's global strategy for competency with ISO 26262. Identify the necessary functional safety processes required for compliance with the state of the art standard (ISO 26262) for all functional areas including engineering, operations, quality, program management, and all other supporting functions. Develop and maintain the functional safety processes including the necessary guidelines and templates, and incorporate them into the ME's global product creation system (GPEP and GPMS). Deliver the training on the use and implementation of the functional safety processes. Own and lead the functional safety Development Interface Agreement with the customers during the program quotation phase, and ensure that the required level of resources is communicated to the functional areas and program management. Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 for all ME relevant customer programs. Coach and lead the functional safety engineers' in the customer programs ISO 26262 compliance activities. Coach the program teams in the implementation of the ISO 26262 as necessary.
