Primary Responsibilities: Perform remote health physics tasks as assigned, primarily relating to conducting dosimetry reviews and writing licensing actions. Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or Master's degree (M.S.) in Health Physics or a closely related field. At least 3 years of Health Physics work experience in either a clinical, hospital, university or industrial health physics setting. 3+ years of experience is highly preferred. RSO-eligible: on track towards meeting the necessary NRC and equivalent Agreement State requirements for RSO as a goal. Experience in broad-scope RAML is desirable. Familiarity and proficiency with basic health physics activities (e.g., survey instrument used, survey technique, leak testing, dosimetry review, etc.) and a willingness and aptitude to master more advanced health physics skills and activities. The ability to understand and apply regulations from a wide variety of State and Federal entities to a variety of client situations, as well as the ability to write effective policies and procedures, Radiation Safety Manuals, and user-friendly forms. Effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to be professional, courteous, convincing, or persuasive in discussions with clients, regulators, and colleagues. Strong technical proficiency, the ability to manage multiple complex assignments concurrently and to completion, very strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service. Previous experience in an industrial environment or mining/aggregates industry in either surface or underground operations is required. Operational Knowledge.
