This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00-$18.90

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct Shift Briefings: Lead shift briefings with staff to provide essential information about upcoming events, report any incidents, and discuss other relevant activities. Ensure that all team members are informed and prepared to effectively carry out their duties.
Review Department Rover Checklists and Command Center Log to Address Issues: Examine Department Rover checklists and the command center log to promptly communicate any violations or potential safety concerns to the appropriate departments. Follow up to ensure that all identified issues are corrected to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
Review Event Specifications and Ensure Task Completion: Thoroughly examine event specifications and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time. Coordinate with relevant teams to confirm that event requirements are met, and everything is in place for a successful event.
Manage Building Access Key Cards: Work with the Director and Manager to oversee the issuance, distribution, and tracking of all building access key cards. Ensure that only authorized individuals receive key cards and maintain accurate records to control and monitor access to the building.
Maintain and Control Building Access: Oversee and regulate access points to the building, ensuring that attendees, show promoters, contract partners, building contractors, exhibitors during move-in/move-out, and employees are authorized and properly monitored. Implement access control measures to maintain security and manage the flow of people entering and exiting the premises.
Maintain and Inventory Security Equipment: Ensure that all security equipment is properly maintained and accounted for. Conduct regular inspections to verify that all equipment is functioning correctly. Report any irregularities, malfunctions, or shortages immediately to ensure the security system's integrity.
Provide Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service to the public, clients, contractors, and staff. Ensure that all interactions are handled professionally, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and efficiently.
Ensure the Safety of Individuals and Property: Safeguard the well-being of all individuals and the security of property on the premises. Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents, theft, or any other threats, ensuring a secure environment at all times.
Manage Unruly Individuals: Handle situations involving unruly or disruptive individuals with professionalism and composure. Use appropriate conflict resolution techniques to de-escalate situations while ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
Complete Incident Reports: Gather relevant information regarding incidents, write a detailed report or summary of the situation, and submit the completed report to the Manager. Ensure that all pertinent details are accurately documented to support effective review and resolution.
Understand and Be Knowledgeable About Fire Safety Systems: Possess comprehensive knowledge of the life safety fire alarm system. Be proficient in identifying and interpreting information on the fire alarm panel and fire station computer. Effectively communicate relevant details to all departments and coordinate with the Fire Department as needed.
Report Issues to Public Safety Management: Communicate any issues or concerns to the Public Safety Manager and the Director of Public Safety & Transportation. Ensure that relevant information is conveyed promptly and accurately to facilitate effective decision-making and resolution.
Participate in Meetings and Training: Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions, and obtain necessary certifications to ensure that knowledge and skills remain current and relevant to industry standards. Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in the field.
Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Execute additional tasks or responsibilities as delegated by the Manager or Director of Public Safety & Transportation. Adapt to various needs and support the team in achieving departmental goals.
First responders: Collaborate with local law enforcement during emergencies or as needed to address the specific security needs of the facility.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Step into a leadership role as a first-line supervisor, directly overseeing the dedicated team in the Public Safety Department. Lead by example while executing supervisory responsibilities in full compliance with Spectra's policies and applicable laws. Take charge of resolving issues, addressing concerns, and ensuring that staff performance not only meets but exceeds organizational standards

JOB DUTIES:

Utilizes science based knowledge to determine compliance with environmental and sanitation regulations for processes which may include, but not be limited to, reduced oxygen packaging, low acid food processing, seafood processing, acidified foods, and foods deemed potentially hazardous due to their ability to support rapid growth of infectious or toxigenic microorganisms, which may occur in food establishments. Prepares reports to document regulatory deficiencies, interprets and explains significance of public health laws, rules and sanitation and safety standards to food establishment personnel, advising management of the necessary corrective action as part of each inspection. Responsible for other inspection functions including, but not limited to, investigation of consumer complaints; follow up reporting; food-borne illness investigations; information requests from consumers; opening inspections for new businesses; special inspections of fire or flood damaged food establishments; inspection of foods in vehicles involved in accidents; multi-agency investigations/inspections or special projects. Responds to disaster or emergency situations and operates under incident command structure when required. Periodically handles emergency or request calls. Some tasks will require evening, weekend and/or holiday activity, including overnight and/or extended travel. Independently exercises professional judgment and institutes appropriate enforcement actions while discharging responsibilities. Uses effective judgment, knowledge of statutes and rules involved, and awareness of legal implications for compliance with regulations, sanitation, cleanliness, labeling and other food safety regulations and related requirements.
Responsible for inspecting and testing foods for compliance with consumer protection standards. Conducts inspections and reports the results of testing of foods using various test procedures and methods for compliance with consumer protection standards using sampling methods required by each procedure to insure statistically valid findings. Related tasks include, but are not limited to, the review of food labels for misrepresentation and inclusion of mandatory consumer information, evaluation of advertising matter for possible product misrepresentation. Responsible for the operation, calibration and maintenance of inspection test equipment including, but not limited to, thermometers, sanitizer test kits, ph meters, and associated equipment and reagents.
Administrative functions include the preparation and timely submission of accurate and complete inspection reports, sample collection reports, food permit applications, consumer complaint reports, daily activity reports, travel vouchers, expense vouchers, supply requisitions and other documents as may be required. RESPONSIBILITIES
Works directly with the Project Manager and the management team to develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan, while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.

Handle DOT complaints under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
Drive safety culture by setting expectations, reinforcing accountability, and requiring participation in safety programs
Safety Incentives / Rewards
Oversee corporate safety incentive and recognition programs
Calculate and distribute monthly and quarterly safety rewards
Track and report on incentive program effectiveness
Safety Technology
Actively seek out, test, and implement new innovative technology solutions to enhance safety compliance and increase accountability
Support adoption and training related to new safety tools
Ensure safety technology data is monitored and used to reduce future incidents
Required Qualifications
10+ years' experience in safety leadership, preferably within transportation, fleet operations, or regulated environments
Proven ability to design and improve safety programs and drive cultural change
Strong organizational, analytic, and strategic-thinking skills with demonstrated ability to create, implement and monitor complex plans, and translate those plans into goals and concrete methods and strategies
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
Ability to travel to station locations on a routine or as needed basis
Requires 24-hour availability in the event of an emergency

Responsibilities
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, security, vendor contract, training, security, and financial rules and regulations.
Establish classroom schedules and coordinate with Station Trainer on all trainings.
Monitor the progress of all agents especially on HAZMAT, Dangerous Goods, and security training.
Conduct investigations on any irregularities or fines received from any government agencies.
Drive communication with management for the approval of all invoices.

Minimum age: 18
High School diploma, GED, or international equivalent
Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver's license; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with various internal and external partners
Flexible to work a variety of rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and rotating days off
Must enjoy working in an administrative environment and be able to multi-task effectively
Must be detail-oriented, flexible, self-motivated, and proactive
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be eligible to travel to the United States for training.
