Job Responsibilities: The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing production, warehouse, and fleet safety, as well as security for all locations with the assistance of the safety compliance officers. Experience overseeing safety for a large fleet of powered industrial vehicles highly preferred.

The Enforcement Staff Supervisor reports to the Program Supervisor, and works closely with the Consultation and Enforcement/Whistleblower Staff Supervisors.
Your Potential Duties:
Primary duty will be to conduct safety and health inspections in public sector workplaces to prevent work-related injury and illness, promote compliance with OSHA regulations, and coach employers to implement safety management systems.
Perform duties of staff supervisor with 4-12 inspection staff reporting to you. Some of the daily operational duties include:
Assign new cases according to WSHP strategic plan.
Provide technical assistance to inspectors on accident investigations involving electric shock, machine guarding, amputation, and work zones.
Ensure that complaints filed by employees about safety conditions at their workplace are handled promptly according to program procedures.
Review inspection reports and Civil Citations for technical accuracy, compliance with OSHA standards, and consistency with DLS format.
When applicable, perform mathematical computations used by industrial hygienists and safety professionals to evaluate occupational hazards.
Provide inspectors with technical assistance for fatality inspections.
Audit inspector case files for proper documentation.
Track performance metrics, including response times and proof that violations are corrected.

Audit project documentation for compliance with ACE EM 385, Site APP, and the Corporate Safety Program.
Conduct Toolbox Talks and Safety Meetings.
Perform site/client/hazard-specific safety training.
Assist with the implementation of the Medical Surveillance programs.
Handle safety-related documentation and reporting (accidents, injuries, third-party claims, utility incidents, field audits, etc.).
Coordinate company safety efforts with all project management.
Mentor field personnel and subcontractor safety staff on safety knowledge and attitude.
Monitor and oversee subcontractor safety compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

We have a Safety, Health, and Environmental role, managing all aspects of the S.H.E. Program in the Trumbull, Connecticut R&D facility. Reporting to the Associate Director, R&D Facilities Operations & Workplace Design, the SHE Specialist will work within the Trumbull Site Operations Team with responsibility for managing SHE improvement activities to achieve the highest SHE standards at site level for an R&D facility.
The role is a 5-day per week on site position.
You will work with a large number of Site category and project teams to develop the local strategy and improvement plans in order to achieve sustainable solutions by reducing injuries, illnesses and environmental impacts as measured in the core KPI's.
They will have experience in the application of the requirements in a research and development organization, supporting the transfer to commercial operations, including environmental permitting and construction safety. Job Responsibilities
Lead the SHE programs, holding self and others accountable for ensuring compliance with applicable elements of OSHA, EPA, and Unilever regulations for the facility. This includes, but is not limited to:

Provide periodic regulatory training
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by learning from incidents, trainings and employee consultation.

Generate, maintain and submit all annual reporting requirements per regulatory agencies and permit requirements
Understanding of DOT and monitoring safe shipping/receiving of chemicals onsite

Drives internal audits and subsequent programs to ensure SHE compliance and procedures are followed throughout the site.
Approve and monitor chemical SDS management through existing systems
Partner with Unilever Senior SHE Management teams to ensure compliance to relevant Unilever and Regulatory standards.

A proven track record to establish and implement, as well as lead and manage a SHE program is essential.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120.
