Overview Summary The Safety Specialist enforces safety policies and procedures in order to establish and promote a safety culture among all company employees. This position will be responsible for overseeing and promoting the overall safety program for a specific region. Review Event Specifications and Ensure Task Completion: Thoroughly examine event specifications and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time. Coordinate with relevant teams to confirm that event requirements are met, and everything is in place for a successful event. Manage Building Access Key Cards: Work with the Director and Manager to oversee the issuance, distribution, and tracking of all building access key cards. Ensure that only authorized individuals receive key cards and maintain accurate records to control and monitor access to the building. Maintain and Control Building Access: Oversee and regulate access points to the building, ensuring that attendees, show promoters, contract partners, building contractors, exhibitors during move-in/move-out, and employees are authorized and properly monitored. Implement access control measures to maintain security and manage the flow of people entering and exiting the premises. Maintain and Inventory Security Equipment: Ensure that all security equipment is properly maintained and accounted for. Conduct regular inspections to verify that all equipment is functioning correctly. Report any irregularities, malfunctions, or shortages immediately to ensure the security system's integrity. Provide Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service to the public, clients, contractors, and staff. Ensure that all interactions are handled professionally, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and efficiently. Understand and Be Knowledgeable About Fire Safety Systems: Possess comprehensive knowledge of the life safety fire alarm system. Be proficient in identifying and interpreting information on the fire alarm panel and fire station computer. Effectively communicate relevant details to all departments and coordinate with the Fire Department as needed. Report Issues to Public Safety Management: Communicate any issues or concerns to the Public Safety Manager and the Director of Public Safety & Transportation. Job DescriptionDirector of Safety and Security The Director of Safety & Security plans, directs, and coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguard and security of ministry assets, employees, members, visitors, and volunteers. Their main responsibilities are to implement security strategies, policies, standards, and establish programs and processes that provide a visible, positive, safe and secure environment throughout all services across all campuses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Directs, examines, evaluates, and supervises King Jesus Ministrys security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security volunteers. Manages and coordinates parking employees and the volunteers of the ministry Responds to all security or safety related incidents and coordinates adequate response. Prepares and manages the departments annual budget, including operational expenses and capital improvements and produces reports as needed. Evaluates and updates as needed current procedures and practices to accomplish activities and functions related to security and safety. Identifies and resolves security and safety threats for the ministry. Develops preventative security and safety programs, including the supervision of security volunteers, contractors, and employees. Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies, and procedures. Supervises and ensures that all log and incident reports are completed and are escalated as needed. Develops, implements, and conducts different security training sessions for staff and volunteers. Assists in the preparation of emergency management and contingency planning. Serves as a liaison with law enforcement, fire, and other agencies to promote safety and security.
