In this role, you will support our nationwide telecommunications operations by developing and implementing effective training programs for field technicians, installers, and construction crews. As a bilingual Trainer, you will create educational materials and deliver instruction in both English and Spanish to ensure our diverse workforce have access to industry best practices, safety protocols, and technical procedures. Clinical Trial Safety Management * Develop and implement study-specific Safety Management Plans (SMPs), safety case report forms, and related charters. * Issue and resolve safety queries within EDC systems; reconcile events with Quality Assurance/Complaints systems. * Manage or oversee activities of safety committees (CEC, DSMB/DMC, Independent Medical Monitor) in alignment with study charters. * Ensure timely and compliant safety reporting of AEs, SAEs, UADEs, and SUSARs in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Operations. * Review safety-related sections of clinical study reports, statistical outputs, and informed consent forms to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulations. * Support SOP development, process improvements, and implementation of best practices in medical safety. Risk Management * Partner with Clinical, R&D, and Engineering teams to identify and assess potential device risks. * Conduct risk-benefit evaluations and contribute to ongoing device risk management activities. Post-Market Surveillance * Lead or support post-market surveillance (PMS) activities, including vigilance reporting and trend analysis. * Investigate potential safety signals and escalate issues as appropriate. * Collaborate with Quality Assurance to integrate field feedback into product improvement initiatives. Clinical & Regulatory Collaboration * Serve as a medical safety liaison with investigators, clinicians, and study sites to ensure proper communication of device safety information. * Respond to safety-related clinical inquiries and provide training/support where needed. * Stay current with evolving global safety regulations, guidance, and standards; ensure compliance with FDA, EU MDR, ISO 14155, and other relevant frameworks.     Dennis Group Safety Professionals assist in the development, management, and implementation of a Health and Safety Program for all of Dennis Group's projects. Our projects are vertical, industrial construction projects involving multiple engineering disciplines and sub-contractor trades. Our Safety Professionals will be responsible for the safety practices of all personnel on our projects. This position requires knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management, accident investigation and training in the construction industry. The Professional will be a member of our safety department and his/her responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Safety Responsibilities: Assist in developing and implementing health and safety program. Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities. Must be familiar with federal, state and local safety laws to ensure the organization complies with all current safety regulations. Prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and safety training topics for contractors Prepare, implement and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safe work permits Attend and prepare safety actions for pre-construction conferences, pre-work meetings including inspection meetings, and periodic in-progress project meetings. Conduct and document Jobsite Safety Observations Work with Construction Managers and Safety Managers to establish job site safety procedures and policies during initial project mobilization and as needed during the project. Research construction safety best practices Educate and support all levels of project personnel on accident/injury prevention procedures. Accidents Responsibilities: Investigate accidents, determine “root causes”, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Prepare and distribute data reports of accident and incident metrics Required Education Skills and Experience OSHA 500 and construction safety experience is required. 3-5 years of work experience on construction projects (required) 1-3 years of work experience in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities for construction projects 1-3 years of work experience in performing construction job site safety inspections and conducting special studies and investigations related to safety and health for the company OSHA training certification required. Ability to travel to job sites throughout North America as required. Travel is estimated to be 75%+, unless stationed on a jobsite (first 3 months of employment - training). Develops and implements controls for observed hazards or predicted hazards. Has full authorization to correct unsafe acts on the spot, including the authority to stop work to correct safety and health problems. Develop and implement safety meeting topics for the jobsites, guide office and field leaders to be aligned with company safety vision and values. Develops and directs the types and correct uses of respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) company wide. Provides direct oversight and assembles a detailed report of all incident reviews, near misses, accidents, and emergency response or rescue actions. Responsible for development and implementation of hazard recognition, control, and accident prevention programs. Develop and implement site specific safety plans/programs for ECI projects. Record/report 300 forms to OSHA. Responsible for managing ECI's injury management and return to work program including medical visits. Review annually ECI's policies/procedures for State and Federal compliance and identify improvement opportunities. Strive to manage the EMR/TRIR below company target. Audit safety systems/tools to ensure effectiveness. Perform field audits and provide feedback to project superintendents and managers. Identify trends, patterns, and casual factors through incident investigations to prevent reoccurrence. Communicate safety issues and performance to corporate management. Qualifications 5 - 10 years of experience in safety planning and execution. OSHA 500 certification preferable. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), ASP, CHST or similar certification preferred but not required. Well organized with analytical abilities to determine areas for safety improvement. Advanced oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. The ability to train and motivate team to focus on safety. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment. Completed an OSHA authorized 30-hour course for construction safety within the last 2 years, including elective subjects applicable to this project (e.g. Confined Space Entry, Hoists, Safety and Health Programs, Marine and Diving Operations, etc.). Knowledgeable of current safety trends, industry practices, and can exercise technical expertise.
