About the Role: The EHS Manager provides leadership to the facility and fosters a culture of safety and excellence. They manage the development, management, and implementation of the facility EHS programs in compliance with regulatory agencies. Establish a Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Deficiency Tracking System that lists and monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals on site and their material Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Maintain a weekly list of high hazard activities involving energy, equipment, excavation, entry into confined space, and work at height, and be prepared to discuss details during QC Meetings.
Provide and keep a record of site safety orientation and indoctrination for Contractor employees, subcontractor employees, and site visitors.

What you will do
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will lead various assignments and projects in support of plant environmental, health and safety goals. This role will work with various programs and policies, research a variety of EHS related components, participate in and lead various programs to assist in achieving our vision of Zero Harm.

How you will do it
Engages the work force, both salary and hourly, to drive cultural change and accomplish environmental, health and safety performance objectives and targets.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements and JCI corporate safety systems.
Reviews planned changes and new equipment installations. Approves or recommends changes in manufacturing and engineering matters of plant layout, location/relocation of machinery, equipment, facilities, safety designs, and processes.
Supports property risk by partnering with Facilities in ensuring compliance with FM Global assessments and routinely touring the property and conducting inspections to ensure compliance.

Coordinates air emission, wastewater, storm water, and waste auditing and testing.
Presents safety and environmental training programs to workers and supervisors. Some standardized materials will be made available, and development of site-specific training materials will be required.

Safety specialist job in New Braunfels, TX
Anderson Columbia Inc. is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator for our New Braunfels TX Location.
Full Time Position
Monday - Friday
Pay Scale : Annual salary ranging from $72,000 to $82,000
Responsibilities -
Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident
Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events
Attend safety walks and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks
Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation
Update, monitor and continue the development of company safety policies, procedures, and training programs for new and existing Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) issues.
Conduct risk assessment
Enforce preventative measures
Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes
Qualifications -
Must have Valid Driver's License.
Must have dependable transportation.
MSHA Certified.
OSHA Certified.
Ability to travel.
Previous experience in the Mining Industry.
Basic Computer skills(Word, Excel, Outlook, ETC.)

Work week may consist of night work.
Must maintain reliable attendance.
Duties can change daily depending on the project and weather.
