Responsibilities: * Prepare, accident/incident reports. * Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery, etc.). * Coordinate with Health & Safety Manager to plan, develop, and assist in field training. * Schedule with Operations and Construction Managers and assigns external resource safety inspections. * Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures. * Conduct periodic field inspections of procedures and operating equipment. * Ensure all applicable internal and external reporting requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner. * Administrative assistance to field and corporate personnel including paperwork requests, researching and problem solving. * Remain current on all company policies and safety and health standards. Safety Committee Member Work with the Chairman of the Safety Committee to: * Provide guidance and make recommendations based on industry standards. * Partner with supervisors/Principals to implement policy to be followed by the Company and disseminate safety related information to the Company employees. * Coordinate safety related training for the Company employees. * Review standards regarding safety programs within the Company to include review and updates of program documents. * Follow up and partner with supervisor/Principals on non-conformance with Company policy. * Review consistency of policy implementation and corrective actions. * Execute other safety-related tasks as assigned by the Principals. Incident Review Team Member * Conduct incident reviews for injuries, near misses, property damage or auto incidents as a member of the Incident Review Team. * Partner with Supervisor/Principals on appropriate corrective actions should circumstances warrant them. Field Implementation * Initiate, coordinate and complete safety projects consistent with corporate policy. * Develop and track appropriate leading and lagging performance metrics relative to goals. * Develop and direct the HSE (Health Safety and Environmental) auditing process to include inspections and analysis. * Conduct behavior-based safety observations and site safety inspections. * Lead and coordinate site emergency response efforts. Auto and Safety Enforcement * Review Site Specific Health and Safety Plans (SSHASPs) and Pre-Job Hazard Analysis (PJHAs). * Consult with Human Resource Manager on MVR Risk Categories and corrective action(s). * Monitor Geotab GPS tracking devices and composite scores to advise Principal/Supervisor of necessary corrective action(s). * Create or modify Safety Briefing Meetings based on observed incidents. * Track and tabulate incident data and prepare annual compliance reports for Incident Rates, DART (Days Away Restricted and Transferred) Rates, and Experience Modification Ratings. Policy Liaison Partner with Human Resources Manager and Principal(s) on drafting, maintaining, and updating as needed: * All Safety Programs. * Auto Incident Policy. * Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Policy. * Any other health, auto, compliance or safety policies. * Partner with supervisors/Principals on compliance with these policies. Health and Safety Liaison * Assist in reporting at monthly Senior Project Manager meetings on Safety Committee meeting highlights, safety initiatives, YTD incident numbers, and other related topics. * Present Health and Safety topics and statistics at Principal meetings as requested. * Act as a resource for all employee health and safety related questions, inquiries and concerns. * Consult on and maintain an effective medical surveillance program. * Consult on auto insurance and best practices. * Develop best practices for safety including metrics and goals. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university desired. * Willingness to travel throughout the United States. * Travel up to 50% of the time to various job locations. * Willingness to work in remote areas. * Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance. * Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal, detail oriented, and organizational skills. * Familiarity with OSHA standards. * Ability to lead, coach, and mentor. About this Role
The Safety coordinator manages the overall safety, health, and training of each project assigned. In addition, this position oversees on-site personnel from a safety perspective, including any safety representatives assigned to projects. This position is the primary point of contact for safety-related programs/incidents and client interfaces.

**Austin Bridge & Road** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Bilingual Spanish Safety Trainer** at our corporate headquarters in **Coppell, Texas.** The Safety Trainer will provide support to the Safety Director by implementing safety review of job sites, ensures safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment and by providing safety training to field personnel. They will also provide safety support to all active job sites and operational divisions. Travel to various project sites in the North Texas/Austin/San Antonio area and regional office in San Antonio is required.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop safety training as directed
+ Present targeted safety training (rigging and hand signaling, heat stress, etc.)
+ Perform OSHA 10 hour trainings (monthly)
+ Maintain professional standing as outreach trainer and traffic control train the trainer
+ Utilize training trailer at each jobsite monthly to provide frequent and effective safety training
+ Intermittently inspect project operations for effectiveness of training
+ Schedule and perform monthly training topics with project personnel
+ Document training activities for reporting needs
+ Promote safety as a fundamental in every job
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
+ Associate's degree in a safety related field. Bachelor's degree would be a plus.
+ Organizational certification through national recognized board, i.e. CHST, OHST, CSHO, etc.
+ Excellent communication, organization, public speaking, presentation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills are essential
+ Able to prioritize tasks and projects effectively, with excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills to accomplish desired results
**Requirements:**
+ Two years minimum experience in the safety field related field
+ Must have OSHA 500
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
+ Travel to various project sites in the North Texas/Austin/San Antonio area and regional office in San Antonio
