We are seeking a Senior level Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA) team. This individual will be a member of the Smart Energy (SME) Team at the Columbus facility, responsible for driving HSE continuous improvement, compliance, and engagement within our manufacture site. The role reports to the MMOC Sr. Director HSE and has direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Developing and executing a compliance strategy; both Honeywell HSE Management System, and regulatory requirements at a manufacturing location.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision of a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) III or higher, an Environmental Health Specialist II (EHS II) provides specialized consultation and technical services in the field of environmental health science, including education, inspections, evaluations and enforcement to promote public health and prevent disease. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Inspections and Compliance:
Conduct inspections independently in various areas including, food protection, potable water, wastewater, solid and hazardous waste, hazardous materials, illicit discharge detection and elimination, vector and pest control, occupational safety and health, air pollution, indoor air, housing, institutions, body art and piercing, swimming pools and recreational facilities and other environmental areas.
Document all inspection activities and findings in various electronic systems.
Communicate effectively and accurately verbally and in writing.
Assist the Director of Environmental Health and supervising REHS with preparation for audits and State surveys.
Assist with training and program proficiency for Environmental Health Specialist in Training.
II. Public Health Investigation and Enforcement
