Key Responsibilities:
Provides classroom and/or behind-the-wheel training to new operators are thoroughly trained. May provide other training to location personnel
Ensures Operator Development Program (ODP) is followed.
PODP - will need to be certified before conducting classroom, skills, btw, and cadeting.
Tracks attendees and maintains training documentation based on regulations and company policy.
While the focus is on driver training, employee may also have other safety program responsibilities (e.g. accident investigations, forms compliance and safety meetings)
Assists with ride checks operators as needed

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 years training experience
1-3 years transportation, safety, or related experience
Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues
Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability of effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials, and general public
Fluent in English
Demonstrates consistent attendance and punctuality
Possesses working vehicle to travel within service areas as needed
CDL CLASS A or B required, including Passenger Endorsement and Airbrakes
Physical Requirements:

* H&S Training - Ensure compliance with company and regulatory training requirements through classroom training or computer based training programs. Run reports to demonstrate compliance to area management.

* Industrial Hygiene - Schedule industrial hygiene sampling throughout the year to verify employee exposures are below the permissible exposure limits.
* Safety Culture Initiative - Actively support the company's safety culture initiative by being a leader in the safety field. Demonstrate consistent compliance and raise awareness to safety initiatives, while leading by example.

* Bachelor Degree in Safety or related field preferred, or high school diploma or GED with equivalent knowledge demonstrated by related work experience in Safety or related field.

* Strong communications skills (verbal and written), mastery of loss control principles, understand the Logistics business, and possess technical safety, health and environmental skills.
* Ability to design and present training programs.
* Proficiency in MS Office computer applications.

* Valid driver's license required.

The Safety Coordinator oversees all safety programs and procedures within the modular manufacturing facility.
