The Safety Representative will be responsible for conducting chemical plant site safety audits, inspecting mobile equipment, performing fire protection and electrical safety inspections, assessing fall protection, respiratory protection, trenching and excavation, work permit safety auditing, and PPE inspections
The safety representative must also be well-versed in basic computer software and safety inspection software. Safety experience within downstrean chemical plant or oil refineries or similar is required.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in new construction safety.
NCCER, BCSP, or a degree in safety management is preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Minimum Job Requirements:**
+ HS diploma with 2 to 5 years of experience.
+ Minimum 3 years in construction safety experience
+ OSHA 30 Construction required.
+ STS-C or above required within 90 days of employment.

**What You'll Need:**
+ Develops and manages the administration of the project/company accident prevention efforts.

+ Provide regular feedback to project leadership in a constructive manner on needed areas for safety improvement and recognition.
+ Provide coaching and mentoring for employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors and provide recognition for employees exhibiting safe behaviors.
+ Assist with delivery of jobsite specific safety orientations for new employees joining the project, as applicable.
+ Support Project Leadership in completion of incident investigations. Facilitate all injury/illness cases.
**Minimum Job Requirements:**
+ HS diploma with 2 to 5 years of experience.
+ Minimum 3 years in construction safety experience
+ OSHA 30 Construction required.
+ STS-C or above required within 90 days of employment.
+ Experience with union workforce desired.
+ Ability to work independently, strong communication skills with ability to influence behaviors.
+ Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

What You'll Do: The Bureau of Environmental Health and Radiation Protection is seeking a candidate to fill our Environmental Health Specialist 2 position. This position will function as a technical expert in the sewage treatment systems program and related applications of soil science. This position will:
* Conduct surveys of local health district programs and prepare and review survey reports for accuracy and appropriateness of findings (e.g., interprets applicable laws, rules and regulation to correct or modify findings, recommends provisional status or sanctions or corrective actions in the case of non-compliance)
* Implement requirements of sewage treatment system program (e.g., reviews and recommends approval of tanks, pretreatment components, alternative wastewater treatment technologies [e.g., drip distribution systems])
* Review and evaluate verbal and written complaints related to sewage treatment systems, determine the required investigative work and conduct or direct field/investigative work to resolve the complaint
* Provide technical assistance, consultation and training to local health departments, state agencies, grantees, contractors, industry and general public in area of sewage treatment systems specializing in site and soil evaluations and issues
* Prepare technical reports and develop survey methodology, fact sheets, procedural guidelines, interpretive reports and technical bulletins
Registration as environmental health specialist pursuant to ORC 3776 & in addition to proceeding, must meet one of following options appropriate to area to be assigned:
* Graduated from an accredited college or university with at least a baccalaureate degree, including at least forty-five quarter units or thirty semester units of science courses approved by the director AND completed at least 30 months of full-time employment as an environmental health specialist AND must be able to provide own transportation.
* Or Graduated from an accredited college or university with at least a baccalaureate degree, completed a major in environmental health science which included an internship program approved by the director AND completed at least 18 months of full-time employment as an environmental health specialist AND must be able to provide own transportation.
* Or Graduated from an accredited college or university with a degree higher than a baccalaureate degree, including at least forty-five quarter units or thirty semester units of science courses approved by the director AND completed at least 18 months of full-time employment as an environmental health specialist AND must be able to provide own transportation.
* Or 6 mos. exp. as Environmental Health Specialist 1, 65731, in environmental health specialty to be assigned AND must be able to provide own transportation.
Note: Pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code Rule 4736-8-01(C): Science courses approved by the board shall be in biology, chemistry, physics, geology, mathematics, or statistics and be applicable to the practice of environmental health science.
Applications of those who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated against the following criteria:
* Bachelors or advanced degree in one of the physical, environmental sciences or engineering
* Experience providing technical assistance to stakeholders related to sewage treatment systems and products
