Key Responsibilities: + May act as team lead, coordinating the work of others, but not a supervisor. + Requires advanced skills and expertise in a variety of work processes or activities. + As a specialist or lead for the team, may provide subject matter guidance to team members with less experience. + Receive, inspect, and label inbound materials and deliveries. + Pull, deliver, and stage materials for production and packing. + Accurately assemble and prepare customer orders for shipment. + Restock inventory in designated locations, ensuring neat and organized storage. + Support inventory control through physical inventory counts and cycle counts. + Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. + Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers. + Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions. + Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or software for data entry and inventory tracking. + Report material discrepancies, damage, or shortages to supervisors. + Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies. + Keep work areas clean and organized; perform daily housekeeping tasks. + Assist with other duties and cross-functional tasks as needed. Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience. + Forklift certification (required). + Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and carry items for extended periods. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Proficient with basic computer systems and inventory software. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. + Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills. + Mechanical aptitude is a plus. JOB OVERVIEW Environmental Design Group is seeking qualified Construction Inspectors to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis. Projects may include construction administration, construction oversight, dispute resolution, documentation and quality control, pre-construction services, and stakeholder communication. As a Construction Inspector at Environmental Design Group, you will: Actively engage in assigned construction projects including inspecting to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals; notifying the contractor of non-conforming work; preparing and maintaining project records and reports; performing miscellaneous duties as assigned by the project engineer and defined in C&MS 105.09 Perform data entry into ODOT's CMS/SITE MANAGER system or local documentation equivalent as directed by the project engineer or LPA person in charge. Requirements An associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology is required 2 or more years of relevant experience is preferred Highway testing certifications are required, including but not limited to ACI Level I, Flexible Pavement Training, and Ohio Aggregate Level I; National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Highway Construction Level II. Expected Hours of Work: This PRN (as-needed) position will provide you with the flexibility and the chance to work on an as-needed basis, supporting our team and projects as demands arise. JOB OVERVIEW Environmental Design Group is seeking a qualified project manager looking for an opportunity to pursue, plan, and manage projects for our Construction Management Client Service Group. The project manager will manage a team of engineers and technicians conducting construction inspections and documenting construction activities. Projects may include construction administration, construction oversight, dispute resolution, documentation and quality control, pre-construction services, and stakeholder communication. This position will provide both technical and client management project leadership. This role consists of participating in a growing team and will include opportunities to mentor junior staff. The project manager will manage both public and private sector projects. Responsibilities will consist of managing, controlling, and monitoring all aspects of the project, reducing risks to the firm and its clients, and interacting with clients to deliver projects. Supervise associates directly or indirectly and provide ongoing direction specific to project tasks, budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Review, mentor, develop, and manage associates' performance in terms of project goals and company expectations. Manage all activities for assigned projects, including scheduling work and project budgets, directing associates and sub-consultant activities, establishing and monitoring quality requirements, ensuring client satisfaction, and promoting integration across all areas of work. Report project budget variances to the Director and a plan to bring the project back into compliance. Communicate regularly with clients on project status. Ensure project communication between team members and clients. Maintain ongoing communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and other outside groups. Make formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, the public, and regulatory agencies. Prepare proposals/contracts and determine project requirements, budget, deliverables, and scope based on client dialogue and project understanding. Identify potential funding sources. Identify project risks and monitor/mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle. Support and implement associate programs that foster a positive work environment and help develop each associate to their fullest potential. Demonstrate a passion for client service and relationship building with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and teams within our organization. Build client relationships through project delivery that meets and exceeds client expectations. Identify future projects/opportunities, services, and client needs. Attend networking events, trade shows, and technical conferences for business development purposes. Adhere to the Company's QA/QC Performance Standards. Experience managing multiple types of construction projects is a plus. Experience in vertical construction is a plus.
