Production Technician -Immediate opening, starting at $24/hr.....Start earning PTO immediately Schedule is a rotating schedule, the plant operates 24 hours The Manufacturing Production Technician is a progressive role starting with operating production drying equipment. This position is responsible for maximizing product output and maintaining specifications. Training provided. Starting pay is $24 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential for night and weekend shifts. Pay range is: $24-$33 per hour. The plant is a 24 hour, 7 day per week operating facility. This position will work a fixed schedule with night and weekend pay differential. 80 hours of vacation, pro-rated the 1st year. Tiered pay increases as experience is gained along with advancement opportunities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Operate Drum Dryers and related equipment for optimal production output while ensuring safety, quality and reliability * Change Knife blades on drum dryers * Perform Rework/Blend-back when require * Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Company Policies including perform Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, and Confined Space work according to company and OSHA requirements * Complete shift checklists with good detail and accuracy * Maintain good Housekeeping in all work areas including scraping floors and drying equipment, cleaning overhead ledges/pipes, blowing down, sweeping, shoveling, dispose industrial waste into dumpster, etc. * Operate Industrial Powered Trucks (Forklifts) * Maintain all equipment in proper working order by performing production level maintenance when necessary. Report all equipment malfunctions * Write "Work Order Requests" Must be able to operate a forklift. Must follow all plant safety rules, keep work area clean, and perform other related duties as assigned. To be successful at this job one must maintain the overall showroom appearance. Maintain a high efficiency and professional image in our metro showroom operations. This position is Monday - Friday, and can range from 36 - 40 hours per week. This position is responsible for our Bloomington, Edina, Lakeville and Rochester locations. Including our Lakeville rental units. Other locations may be assigned as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Travel to showrooms with the use of personal vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed. Paint touch-up and repair of damaged walls and vignettes. Carpet Repair, Replacement, and Stain Removal as needed. Minor Electrical and Plumbing Repair. Light carpentry work as needed. HVAC (RTU's) Preventative Maintenance and Repair 1. Filter Changes 2. Belt replacment as needed 3. Grease bearings, fans and motors as needed 4. Clean Coils once a year or as needed (weather related) Roof inspections and minor repair as needed, including after major rain or snow storms.
