Early in his career, Sanjay realized that - although he could write code - he was better at helping people use it. Sanjay joins Commvault from the software maker Puppet, where he served as CEO for more than two years. During his tenure at Puppet, he grew the user base of Puppet’s open source and commercial solutions to more than 40,000 companies, including 75 percent of the Fortune 100. He grew Puppet’s global presence, opening new offices in Seattle, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Timisoara, Romania. Prior to that, he spent two decades in senior leadership roles at Microsoft, VMware and EMC Corp. As a “global citizen,” Sanjay’s move to Commvault’s New Jersey headquarters is a return to his roots. He has family in the New Jersey area and is on the board of directors at Drew University, his alma mater. In addition to his board role at Drew, where he studied computer science and math, he serves on the boards of Datameer, Portland Center Stage and Puppet. He earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. A father of two adult daughters, he recognizes and supports the importance of diversity in the workplace. He is also a “ridiculously passionate” fan of cricket - which is a source of good-natured teasing from his daughters.

My objective is to focus on the security policies of a domestic airport by identifying the role of TSA agents, airline employees, and airport employees in the communication process to support effective airport security policies. My research documents the findings from a recently completed investigation- Ph.D. Dissertation of the predicament to what degree miscommunication among TSA, airline, and airport employees has an impact on the implementation of changes in airport security policy, particularly those policies regarding prohibited items that pass through security checkpoints
