SummaryThe Enrollment Counselor is responsible for all recruiting functions and for promoting Saint Leo University as a school of choice to prospective students. Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment, the Enrollment Counselor serves as a university ambassador, engaging with prospective students through high-energy, meaningful conversations, and providing support throughout the admissions process. Counselors build rapport, establish trust, and serve as primary points of contact-from initial inquiry to enrollment.
The representative will also generate new inquiries by attending events, engaging community partners, and ensuring prospective students receive accurate and timely information about academic programs and resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote Saint Leo University to interested candidates and ensure they are well-informed about available programs and opportunities.
Interview prospective students to assess interest, academic goals, and readiness to enroll.
Make a minimum of 100 outbound calls per day and follow up using email, text, and video conferencing tools. Book appointments with prospective students and conduct face-to-face or virtual meetings to guide them toward enrollment.
Determine student eligibility and interest in academic programs, ensuring a proper match between student goals and Saint Leo offerings.
Guide students through the entire admissions process, including application submission, documentation, and appointment setting.
Meet or exceed individual recruitment goals and conversion metrics set by the University.
Maintain accurate and complete records of communication, interviews, follow-ups, and enrollments.
Recommend qualified applicants for admission based on academic potential and alignment with university standards.
Accurately complete and process all enrollment paperwork and ensure timely progression through admissions milestones.
Attend recruitment events, information sessions, and community outreach activities as needed.
Collaborate with internal departments, including Financial Aid and Academic Advising, to provide a seamless student experience.
Adapt quickly to changing processes, systems, and goals in a dynamic educational environment.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with university policies and professional standards.
DUTIES AND TASKS:
After the Enrollment Counselor achieves initial contact with prospective students they continue to counsel and educate them through the entire enrollment process. The process will include information regarding registration, ordering books, technology setup and introductions to fellow team members who will assist them with financial questions and academic advice.
As the primary contact, the Enrollment Counselor is responsible for a positive new student experience by building a relationship with the student and answering questions regarding degree requirements, program research, policies, and procedures.
As part of a high performing team Enrollment Counselors must;

Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is plus
Prior recruitment and/or enrollment experience within higher education.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced setting
Technological proficiency, especially with CRM systems and virtual communication platforms
Adaptability to new challenges and shifting priorities
Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs

General description
Under general supervision, determines families' eligibility for subsidized child care programs and other Early Care and Education programs offered through the Santa Barbara County Education Office. Enrolls and registers eligible children and families and provides a wide range of services and support to program participants.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Determines level of need, family income, and eligibility for subsidies; enrolls children and families into the program.
Assists families in completing enrollment applications; may complete applications or prepare other required documentation on behalf of applicants with limited literacy; reviews documentation for accuracy and contacts families to correct discrepancies.
Applies family fees according to income level, family size and other needs; all according to fee schedules established by the California departments of Social Services or Education.
Provides comprehensive support to families by making referrals to other subsidies, services, and support for which they may be eligible; serves as a family advocate.
Advises families on program requirements, procedures and obligations for subsidized child care on a sustained basis.
Partners with other agencies to maintain up-to-date client file data such as employment, medical, and other information.
Serves as point-of-contact for parents to arrange and track their participation in child care activities and verify participation that complies with program obligations.
Assists with periodic program evaluations by participating in internal audits of case load files, contracted providers, and eligibility compliance.
Prepares communications with families including those for terminating services.
Represents SBCEO during community outreach events to promote services for families.
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
Requirements
Education: Possession of a high school diploma is required. Completion of 12 semester units of college coursework in business, public, or non-profit administration; social sciences, human services, or related field is preferred.
Experience: Two years of clerical or direct service experience in human or social services.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS), is seeking motivated high-achieving students to assist with general support in the High Tech Center. The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to work well as part of a team and individually.
The studentworker will assist with the duties below. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements and duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the High-Tech Center.
Student will assist:
* Assist in providing general support in the High Tech Center by assisting with monitoring the computer lab area to ensure compliance with District policy.
* Assist students with login inquiries, assisting with MS Office programs, and educational software, printing slide shows and document attachments, proofreading, proper formatting, and saving documents.
* Establishing and maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships with others, including those from diverse academic, economic, cultural, disability, gender entity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
* Students must have a Federal Work Study award letter for the current academic year
* Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
* Students cannot fall below half-time (6+ units) during their employment under the FWS program.
* Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units
* Students must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA
* Students must have a current TB
* Ability to follow directions to carry out the duties as assigned
* Familiarity with various equipment/tools used in the program and/or have completed some courses in the specific program or related field
Employment Requirements
Hours:
* Maximum of 15 hours per week
* Schedule will vary within the scheduled lab hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

The studentworker will assist students and SAS office staff with tasks as needed while maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of students who are served by SAS. The studentworker will assist with tasks such as welcoming students and answering phones, answering student and visitor questions regarding campus and SAS department, assist students in the HTC and TSC. Help at various events, and transport students on campus via department tram. Handle and file sensitive documents as needed. Other tasks as assigned. A valid driver's license and insurance are required.

* Studentworker will assist with front desk traffic, answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing, preparing flyers and educational handouts, light cleaning of clinic areas and equipment, pick up mail and deliver items to other departments, help clinic staff with copying and other misc. tasks, help with inventory, keep frequently used forms copied and in stock, help with promotion and implementation of health education events. These jobs will require live scan because of their confidential nature.
* Ability and aptitude to use computer applications is important for scheduling and preparation of educational materials. Creativity is also very helpful. A cheerful friendly attitude and willingness to help is a must since customer service for both internal and external customers is the core of this position.
