Responsibilities:
The Care Management Nurse, MDS Nurse works the RAI process and conducts assessments and care plan coordination for those residents assigned. Some responsibilities of the MDS nurse include:
Completes the MDS, CAAs and care plans within regulated time frames
Assesses resident through physical assessment, interview and chart review
Discusses resident care needs with caregivers, including physician, nursing, social services, therapy, dietary, and activity staff
Reviews information from hospitals, consults, and outside agencies and uses such information in the completion of the assessment and care planning

Education: Bachelor's degree in Golf Course Management, Turfgrass Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field or five years demonstrated ability in relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in golf course or club management in addition to above stated education requirement.
Certification/Licenses: SERV Safe Manager Training is required within the first 30 days of hire; training will be provided. T.I.P.'s Certification is required within the first 30 days of hire; training will be provided. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must maintain a good moral character standing. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required. Budget management and business planning experience is needed to include knowledge of agronomy, turf maintenance practices, and golf course equipment. Familiarity with golf management software and point-of-sale systems is a must. Must exhibit Passion for the game of golf and commitment to exceptional service. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly in person, in writing, and by telephone and email. Must have and be able to perform basic math skills. Must have skills in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Must be able to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet and database software preferred. Knowledge and ability to use office machines, such as calculator, copier, fax, printer, and computer preferred. Must have strong leadership skills and team-building abilities. Must have excellent public relations and customer service skills and be able to exhibit a friendly and positive attitude. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Native American preferred.
