    Job Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - FloatFull Time DaysJob SummaryThe LPN Float provides professional nursing care to clinic patients in accordance with established standards and practices. This role supports efficient clinic operations by floating to various departments as needed, performing diverse clinical and administrative duties while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care.Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Screening: Perform professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and protocols. Conduct screening for walk-in patients and perform telephone screenings using established clinical protocols. Monitor patient health, record vital signs, and report changes in condition to supervising Registered Nurses or physicians. Procedures & Treatments: Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians and provide comprehensive patient education. Assist physicians and RNs with medical procedures and examinations. Perform wound care, including cleaning wounds and changing dressings. Provide specialized care such as suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, and diabetic nail care. Documentation & Administration: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the electronic health records (EHR) system. Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in accordance with demonstrated competencies and the LPN Scope of Practice. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the clinical environment, adhering to all infection prevention protocols. May be assigned Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
